It’s not a bad idea. Half a season ago I would have said no way, but Miller really turned it around. When he’s going, he’s great. And he does fit the captain mold in many respects - he hits, scores, wears heart on sleeve, will fight, he’s big enough to protect himself, and competes hard. Plus he has character. When he’s in his bitchy mood, and forgetting about defense occasionally, he’s still entertaining. It wouldn’t be the worst thing to give him the C. I think.

I thought media were fine with Pearson. He obviously has a beef with Canucks on his injury. That’s his prerogative. He’s still a Canuck, making millions of dollars, and needs to be a team player and respond to media questions. I’d guess he doesn’t want to say much publicly because he is trying to take them to the cleaners financially. That’s unfortunate about his injury, and I feel sorry for the guy on that front, but he looked very much like he didn’t want to be there, or be a part of the team, and that’s a concern to me. Even once he gets healthy, will be put his heart into being a Canuck? And pre-injury, he had 1 goal in 14 games and was -9… will he be much better after not playing for nearly a year at his age?

Interesting that Boeser now says he doesn’t want to be traded. That’s likely after his agent informed him that after searching high and low, there are no takers. I’d love to see him get moved this offseason. Way too much of the cap is going to the guy, and he used to be one dimensional with his golden shot. He’s not even that anymore, as most of his goals are rebounds or tips these days. Most of the games I didn’t even realize he was playing.

Even though playoffs are on, there’s nothing stopping a team like the Canucks to signing Tryamkin now for next season is there?

Here are the Leafs are manipulating the cap to all hell, after tanking hard years ago to get Awesome Nostrils, and we can’t even lose a couple of games to give ourselves half a chance to get Bedard. I thought Tocchet was supposed to be the crook, no?

None of these odds are ones that I see the Canucks coming out on top of. 5% chance is 1 in 20. Given the Canucks luck in drafts, how would we ever luck out with that?

I keep hoping the ‘slim fit’ for men’s dress clothes will go away. They take over the stores, and they’re wait too tight / restricting. Give me modern / regular fit any day.

I’m still pissed off that we gave the Leafs a tough, solid defenseman who could actually have been just what they needed to beat the Bolts, just for a third round pick. Canucks GMs should not be allowed to help Leafs in any way. Bolts in 6.
