Biggest tell for me is inventory. Some games sell out quicker on ticketmaster and that results in less ultimate inventory on stubhub. The Colorado game on Friday, March 6th is one example. I expect this game to go up in price from where it is now because inventory is low, it's a Friday game and Colorado is an exciting team to play against. On the other hand, the Columbus game on Sun, March 8th has an enormous amount of inventory and will likely not sell very well at all. Even though it is a Sunday game, it's a 7pm start which no one wants... too late for kids. Also against a boring eastern team.

For those wondering, here is the playoff prices from 2013. These did not include GST (today's prices include GST). I suspect playoff prices will be a bit higher than these but hopefully not by much. Maybe 10% or something.

I know it's not game over yet, but if we do lose I can honestly say this is the most shocking loss this year. I didn't think we would lose this. And worst of all, we got outplayed big time. I would say this is 100% a "must win" for the Calgary Flames. If they lose tonight I think they may start preparing to become sellers at the deadline and make some trades. Looking forward to some playoff style hockey tonight for sure and maybe some fights.

I think there will be a lot more demand this time. We haven't had playoffs in 5 years. Back when we played Calgary in 2015 people were tired of the team and no one cared anymore. I think playoff tickets will legit sellout instantly this time assuming they are priced properly and not rip offs.

Looks like stubhub went ahead and changed to canadian prices. Weird seeing prices so high. I imagine this will make people think twice about buying. its a mental barrier thing, higher number looks worse.

Big no from me. Kesler was never loyal to Vancouver or showed any real desire to be here. When he was an RFA, he accepted an offer sheet from Philadelphia and would have been happy to leave. Then he left for Anaheim as soon as he could and took a big fat pay cheque. I don't blame him ONE BIT for that. I probably would have done the same. But the "ring of honour" is for people with honour and if you choose money over honour then that's that.

That's great. I wonder what they think about stubhub switching to Canadian pricing? I think that bodes well for them as it makes the prices more comparable (although stubhub will still hide fees). I think they should look into getting Canucks up and running if they can before playoffs. How does their ticket manager work? Can you list and delist tickets yourself? E.g. can you list tickets simultaneously on stubhub and if they sell, remove them from fanfirst? Or is it all manually done?

I really blew it.

Canucks are now 5th in the pacific division, with 56 points. All 4 teams ahead of us have 57 points. If we win tonight, we move to 1st in the division. Isn't that ridiculous?

Excellent night around the league for the Canucks. Las Vegas + Calgary + Arizona = regulation losses If Canucks win tonight they will be #1 in the pacific division.

We live in a world where dozens of people die every year due to taking selfies with their phones.

Was always fun selling tickets locally and having someone pull the old "Tickets are around $20 on stubhub". Actually they are $29 USD and after the fees and exchange rate more like $60 CAD. Now, if only they went to "all in pricing" in CAD then the truth would be revealed but that is too transparent.

So many complaints online of people not realizing it was US dollars. It's about time. I wonder how this will impact sales. People will be surprised to see a higher number first.
