  1. I think non-alcohol seats in 102 are cheaper, aren't they? I recall seeing the price list last year and they were like $78 a seat or something crazy low. If that's the case it probably makes up for any loss in resale value. Frankly it's not worth drinking if the seats cost $10 more, plus $10 a drink. That's $50 for 4 beers. I'd almost rather get non-alcohol seats too and not have to worry about fights or drunks spilling beer on me, and then go out after the game and spend $50 at the pub and get some wings.
  2. https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-commissioner-gary-bettman-addresses-coronavirus-concern-regarding-media/c-315989204 NHL Commissioner Bettman addresses coronavirus concern regarding media Says League is 'considering every conceivable option' for access, arenas
  3. If you make it a green full body suit then you'll blend right in.
  4. They will probably let you pick your seats tomorrow from the remaining selection, but you can also tell your account manager you would like to go to the relocation event in June and maybe see what else is available. In other words, pick seats tomorrow with your acct manager, but if you want you can change them later. There may be season ticket holders who dont renew, and better seats come up.
  5. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/03/07/tickets-summer-concerts-surge-resale-sites-amid-fears-coronavirus/ Surge in people reselling tickets for live events amid fears coronavirus could cause widespread cancellations Viagogo have reported a 45 per cent increase in people listing tickets for sales, in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak
  6. Depending on how this virus trends, it could hit peak hysteria in Canada right around when the playoffs begin, so I could see them postponing them. Playing in an empty arena isn't going to happen, no revenue for owners and boring to watch on TV.
  7. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/06/nba-nhl-owners-opposed-to-games-with-no-fans-if-coronavirus-spreads.html Owners of NHL and NBA teams told CNBC on Friday they do not want to play games with no spectators if the coronavirus outbreak makes it too risky to gather large crowds.
  8. Wow. Alberta economy is struggling, you think the billionaire owners would throw their loyal fans a bone. No they jack up prices above inflation and make huge playoff price increases. I think Flames are in for a world of hurt. Have they even figured out their new arena yet? How is it ever going to get built in this economic climate?
  9. Yeah me too! One thing I didn't see is any mention of renewal gifts this year or anything. No early bird prizes or gift cards or free jerseys etc. I wonder if that is eliminated this year? Or am I missing it? Edit: Nevermind I see now, if you click on the bottom link in the email it talks about custom benefits coming later on.
  10. UB4 playoff prices seem really good. Also only looks like a 1-2% increase next year. Very pleased with this! Round 1 $58 Round 2 $69 Round 3 $92 Round 4 $138
  11. I wonder if the Canucks are holding off renewals and waiting to make sure they get in the playoffs so they can then up prices and also send playoff info at the same time. Back when the Canucks used to make the playoffs guaranteed they would send out playoff ticket payment info at the same time as renewals. Otherwise not sure what the hold up is...
  12. Anyone else see the news about stubhub? They were fined $1.3 million dollars by the Competition Bureau of Canada for their pricing scheme of having hidden fees. Part the deal is a 10 year court order which mandates Stubhub to have "ALL-IN" pricing for all canadian events. Looks like this has begun to be implemented today because all Canucks games are now showing "ALL-IN" pricing with all fees included on the stubhub app. The desktop version still does not appear to reflect this yet. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/stubhub-competition-bureau-1.5462632 "As part of the deal, StubHub will ensure that tickets to Canadian events on its service "will now include all mandatory fees throughout the ticket purchasing process." The agreement is binding for at least 10 years."
  13. You're not worried about the coronavirus, or you're not worried about how other people will react to the coronavirus? Or both?
  14. Anyone else here concerned about the potential impacts that the hysteria around coronovirus could have on the NHL playoffs? Given how things are ramping up, I could see peak hysteria kicking in right around playoff time. Other nations have shut down sporting events completely, I could see the same thing happening here and cancelling the playoffs or postponing them. Not trying to fear monger but let's face it, it's a possibility at this point.
  15. Nothing for me when I logged in. I remember last year they did renewals in waves presumably to avoid having everyone renew at the sametime and overwhelm customer service. So maybe some people will get renewal emails and others won't right away.
  16. Definitely after tonight's blowout I expect renewals out Monday morning lol. Strike while the iron is hot.
  17. We have 2 wins in our last 8 games. Not sure what to say. Losing to teams like Anaheim and Minnesota on home ice is not really sitting well with me.
  18. My wife, who has become a pretty big hockey nut, still isn't a big enough nut to follow other teams. So she doesn't know who Tyler Toffoli is. Well, when I saw the trade, I yelled out "BABE, WE GOT TYLER TOFFOLI!".... she said.... "What? I'm not tired of Chipotle". So we got Chipotle tonight for dinner and then I explained to her, over dinner, who Tyler Toffoli is.

  20. This loss makes us 2-1-0 in our last 3. It also makes us 2-5-0 in our last 7.
