I watched 2 minutes of the halftime show, then I got up and went into the kitchen and washed dishes.

Here's another thing I don't understand. The price of wheat (retail) is more than double what it was a year and a half ago. The retailers, are still making the same amount of money per bag as they have the past 5 years or so. The farmers selling the wheat are barely getting more than what they sold it for 5 years ago. What's left? distribution? Someone is making a lot of money - and it's not me.

I chose my words poorly. I didn't mean to not focus - I meant continue? Hmnn...no...what I mean is there shouldn't be segregation of any kind...and I believe some (not all) of the celebrations/directions are not inclusive.

I don't smoke anything. I am not against anything you have said - civil rights are for everyone - fully agree. I moved away from the lower mainland 24 years ago, lived in Calgary for 13 years (12 years too long) before settling down in a small town back in BC.

How has "focusing" on them helped? It hasn't - it's still the same. Not focusing is NOT the same as discriminating. Come on man.

How can I put this so it doesn't offend anyone? Right, that's impossible... Look, it's simple. Hockey is for everyone should not mean wearing a Pride jersey. "Pride" is only part of "Everyone". Pride lives in a glass house and they shouldn't throw stones. What do I mean by that? They want everyone else to be "inclusive" yet they don't allow inclusivity in their own events. Just because I drive a 2010 F150 with a 5.4 liter engine doesn't mean I don't support Green energy. Just because I don't wear a "Pride" shirt doesn't mean I am against LGBT... Just because I don't wear a Leafs jersey doesn't mean I hate the Leafs... As long as we (human race) keeps putting people into siloed groups, the longer it will take for us to truly be one. Stop focusing on race, colour, creed, religion, etc...that's the problem! (and the media plays it up) (BTW - Hockey is NOT for everyone - not everyone can afford it).

So, I understand the supply and demand concept, but why would prices continue to increase when the demand drops off? Greed? For example, the past year I have seen/heard many farmers cutting back the size of their herds or poultry and/or getting rid of them completely, so demand has dropped. Yet the price of feed is at an all time high. (Just paid $28 for 1 bag of chick starter and $23 for a bag of cracked corn!). To help offset that, last year we raised the price of our "eating" large/extra large free range eggs from $5 to $6 and we lost customers. What's odd, is the local grocer raised theirs even more, and they seem to sell fine.
