Not even worried about that. With that much fun in this team, he will want to stay. The cap issue is mostly next yr or so, but it clears up big after that.
Any player has to see what's building here for the next 10 years and will want to be part of it.

Why is delay of game still not reviewable after all these changes we've seen in recent years?
Right... like while the refs have a conference, why can't they just look up at the review and make the right call ?

It was also hooking, come on now.
Was it a playoff hook though? Debrusk even said Marchessault sold it.
Did Reeves take Roosters legs out at the bench with no call.
Just saying....

Kelly Sutherland strikes again
Ya that definitely felt like they were looking for the first opportunity to let Vegas back into the game.

He actually just reuses his lines from the movie Slapshot.
You go in the box for 10 minutes and you feel shame

How the hell does Reeves not have a penalty yet in these two games ?

that Toffoli trade bust thread is not aging well, lol
Never understood that talk at all... the team was in a dogfight for the playoffs and Brock was going to be out for a while.
The TT trade was a confidence booster from mgmt to the team to send the msg that they believed in them.
If that trade hadn't been made any GM would have been lambasted had they not made the playoffs.

LouiE & AG. Bailey later in series, should speed continue to be an issue.
I'm afraid this kind of team exposes that Boeser needs more wheels.
Might've added to much upper bulk. He needs to see Bo's skating coach in the off season

Vegas had some extra days to study our play while we had 1 to adjust for them. That's probably why we look predictable so far.
Game 2 should have some adjustments to their play (and the roster)

DeBoer didn’t change his twister in Vegas
I agree the size is impacting us but we had zero defensive structure all year when Marky saved us ... and we had size in the lineup defensively then
it does not matter how big we are on d, when we are cluelessly skating around it won’t help
5 of our 6 D either bobble the puck consistently, or take too long to make a bad or predictable pass.

Big question is do you go with Demko next game or do you ride the hot hand with Marky.. tough decisions ahead
Nope. Right back to Marky

Reaves is a useless 4th line goon like why are the Canucks making him a story.
slot in MacEwen next game, let him run around and make that idiot Reaves react and we get PPs.
Reeves could've been called at least 3 times

All of the above but frankly our lack of structure is showing big time
And they are really exposing our lack of speed on the backend

what the &^@# kind of takedown was that on BB6?
Just rewatched that.... how many seconds late was that takedown ?

How does Edler get called on a weak push to start this game but Reeves can hit from behind and then pin Guad down with no call?

How is this a choke ? No one can really expect us to beat Vegas. They are to deep.
Just giving them too much respect to start the series i think. We'll take over in the 2nd half.

Stoked for our boys but man, what a team they have over there. Our stars are still kids and short on playoff/battle experience. Hopefully the snoozy giants show up on Friday. GCG!
I really think our boys learned something about their own switch in the 3rd. Completely reversed the flow of play and gave the defending champs their own medicine.

Sure but, Marky can and does make a million saves. Getting the goal with the drive JT showed woke everyone up and made them believe. This was obvious.
Not discounting that at all. JT's goal sent a msg to the team that they can't sit on skill/finesse to take over... gotta get dirty and earn it which they did in the 3rd.
I was responding more to the comment that seemed to underestimate the impact of having a Marky hold the fort on the back end.

Yup. Wonder what St. Louis team shows up Friday. Wish I was more stoked on these wins but they just feel almost accidental. Little one off individual efforts. 2 breakaways for Tyler Motte? What the hell? Virtanen spins around and hail mary's one high and inside and it goes in... Miller's goal was all will and effort. He's a beauty.
Still, without crazy solid goaltending we'd be in tough. Late out there ain't it?
But this is a young team learning. The way they played in the 3rd was so impressive (especially down Edler), like they finally stopped watching the defending champs and took it too them instead.
