How did he look in his AHL debut? Did he get any PP time?

I have been very impressed by Bains and the rookie AHL season he has put together. Sure seems like the perfect bottom 6 forward who can PK and works hard every game. Props to this kid for never giving up and it lead to an NHL contract and he is making a living PLAYING hockey! Need more guys like Bains!

It would be a mistake to NOT retain Burroughs. Great depth guy that can be a 7/8 but then step in after being in the press box for a long stretch and not look out of place. Oh, and he stands up for his teammates...team needs more Burroughs not less! I mean a deal cant be that hard to do, 2 yr 8-900k per. Would only make some sense if they did want to bring Schenn back for that depth role and leadership.

Skyler played 2 seasons in the BCHL with the Chilliwack Chiefs, Canucks should make a call to see if there is interest. Apparently he is quite good defensively and good at faceoffs...never a bad thing to hav in the organization.

It is back to back games so Demko was either getting the LA start or Anaheim one. Demko also was for sure going to play the last home game on saturday night vs Flames. I know we are all worried about playing Demko too much after a long layoff from injury. But he wants to play and play a lot to prove he is healthy and show his teammates, management, owner and the entire NHL who the real Demko is. Demko being brought back was always going to lead to us playing better, we had our #1G back and he is in top form! Add in another new coaching change and bump in play for a red hot March and instead of being a top 5 drafting team we are closer to 10th overall with the coaching bump and Demko return. Athletes get paid a lot and have a ton of pride, fans may want a loss every night for a better chance at Bedard and ya they aren't wrong but it was clear the team was never going to do that when they FIRED Boudreau. Bruce there it is was well on his way to securing us a top 5 pick if he stayed on as coach. Maybe JT would have got traded at the TDL to Pittsburgh? Now we have our #1G back and in top form, we have an Elite D in Hughes, Elite 100pt C in EP then we have quite a bit of cap tied up on wingers imo. We need a Di Gusieppe type player on every line. We have PDG and Joshua who the coach loves, team needs to find a couple more forwards who can play that way and are cheap which also means 2 of Boeser, Garland, Beavillier might need to go for cap reasons. Try to clear Myers off the books this off season, are we keeping Bear if he wants 3m or more with some term? What are chances we offer Schenn a deal to come back? Hronek is the big RHD piece we have going into next year, Juulsen is a Schenn lite who might be cheaper and is quite a bit younger so can grow into more of a Schenn type D maybe? Then the swedish RHD that was a former 1st round pick, his SHL season is done now, is he coming to the AHL now?!? Does the team consider a JT trade to clear some cap space if the return is decent. We lose a good player, but if teams want us to retain or add sweeteners to trade Myers/Boeser/Garland/Beau then we are kind of screwed if we want to even think of improving the D or adding a #3C, those things are not cheap to do in UFA. In some smart trades that could happen but teams know we need to move salary and we are winger heavy. We won't get full value in a trade, just hope its better than Columbus got for Bjorkstrand.

Spin it anyway you want, I really don't care what the truth is behind the logo... Every fan puts the logo change with the name of the company Orca Bay, what a terrible time that was with the #11 BS that happened and Keenan etc and here we hare decades later still wearing that ugly logo on the jersey. It is a terrible logo in my opinion but hey, it has saved me a ton of $ NOT buying Canucks orca styled merchandise for over 2 decades... I would buy tons of merchandise if the logo was NOT Orca Bay style Whale.

Do Canucks games get streamed on their website for free? Had to cut costs and lost the sports packages on the cable, so unless the canucks stream the game for free or a fellow fan can send me a link to watch the games I am a radio at best Canuck fan for at least the end of this season

Rathbone has more of a pedigree and higher upside due to his offensive skillset and had a great AHL season last year which I did NOT expect him to have. Congrats to Akito for getting an NHL contract though, he played in the BCHL never got into the WHL and ended up making US College and playing well seemingly at that level. Wish him all the best, but I hope they give Rathbone a fair shake before we trade him or risk him on waivers next fall. Jack has an NHL caliber slap shot, something we may have in Hronek next year if that shoulder injury doesn't hinder his shot going forward.

I have not seen any of that but I do not use social media, it is a sest pool of negativity...It is 2023, everyone should be included in everything! But the vocal haters tend to usually hide behind a screen and run there mouths and cause the ruckus don't they?

We are icing an AHL D group more than an NHL one, it was only a matter of time before leaks started to show. Too much $ spent on wingers, only asset free way to improve the D next year is an OEL buyout that clears most of his cap hit next year but then we are left with a couple years of near 5m in dead cap space...Minnesota is doing well with a ton of dead cap space but I can't see the Canucks having similar success whil improving the team with just an OEL buyout. Team needs to move out 2 wingers with cap hits north of 4m annually to help create some cap room to improve the D. We may have to struggle with our bottom 6 C group again next year unless we can sign a C cheap short term and they have a bounce back season next year.

I think what Tocchet and his staff have done have been good but its the end of the season another lost season and we have a coach playing guys way too much then guys like Boner who got 9 min and McDonough who scored with under 7min of ice time...give the kids more ice time, why we got to play Quinn 30 min and Boner 9...can't 23min for Quinn and 16 for Boner be allowed in the final handful of games?!? See what Boner has got at the NHL level going into next year, or does the team already know they will likely be moving on from him with all these LHD signings?

the whopping 3 games played over 2 seasons...that surely disqualifies him from the list right...I think not, Tanti always been underrated though so not a surprise. EP is this elite player, and Covid played a part but man I was shocked to see him so far down the list to be honest.

Depends, Delia is a pending UFA. So we have demko and Martin say at the NHL level then Silovs and this young kid in the A...I am guessing that won't be the case, would think they would offer Delia a contract as he has been better than Martin this season in the NHL. No need to rush Silovs into an NHL back up role in my opinion...let him play another full year in Abbotsford as the #1 and hopefully another playoff run next season too!

Would probably be best for his development, another year of schooling behind him and hopefully ample off season time to train and sign next year...But, if NHL teams are calling and offering a deal now it would be nearly impossible for me to say no to signing on the dotted line, especially someone like himself who was undrafted and I think it is fair to say shocked everyone with his 1st year college season he had. That is why these kids have advisors to help them
