  1. If the rumour of Canucks liking Pit offer but wanting a younger C back, then if Carolina was to offer JK in a deal that would make sense. Problem of course is, will Carolina want to take on Miller into his late 30s at 8m when they have always said they don't want to do that. Side note, doing what Carolina has been doing has lead to making the playoffs but never putting them over the top to be a threat to win the cup. Don't think Carolina does a JT trade, can see them adding JVR for a heck of a lot less maybe they get Schmaltz from Arizona
  2. trading for an injured D in Hronek is mind boggling...hopefully it isn't serious or affect his shot going forward, but it would be so Canuck for it to go sideways. Here is hoping it doesn't cause we gave up a premium to acquire him. Hey GM Alvin, why did you need to make this trade now...should have waited for the draft, seen where the NYI pick was and who was available with that selection if it ended up being a 2023 1st we get and go from their. I know we need RHD, but giving up the 1st AND the Canucks early 2023 2nd round pick...that is what Benning does, is Alvin taking to Benning for help haha... GO Canucks GO, good thing Hronek is out, so Reeves wont teach him another lesson for admiring a pass in the middle of the ice.
  3. Chicken boy carving out a career in the A, we all make fun of him but bet you would all trade your job and salary for his...I would! Good for him and best of luck to Chicken Boy!
  4. Are the Canucks willing to go 3F and 2D on the #1PP unit now that we have Hronek? Or is Hronek going to get 20 seconds on the 2nd unit?
  5. Hopefully this trade works out like the JT trade a few years back. I don't get rushing to move that NYI pick, would have much preferred us wait until the draft and if we got the 2023 1st see who was available around that pick and maybe select Reinbacher or something but team needs to show EP that they are trying to win otherwise he may not want to sign long term this off season? Also, there is the risk of this turning out like Ottawa 2.0 and the pick sliding to 2024 and it being an unprotected 1st. I would have rather seen us pay less for someone like Fabbro but now we hope and cross our fingers this deal works out well for us... Always thought Hronek was a bit of a trainwreck in his own zone and more a 1 dimensional offensive D so is he a partner for Hughes? We shall see CDC, take a deep breath in and remember to exhale...
  6. it will take secones AJ...social media has ruined the world! 1000% on full time logo change orca bay needs to go. New jersey to go along with new arena seats??
  7. 16pts in 60 gp nets a 2nd round pick...guess they are hoping for the clutch scoring Eller to emerge!?!? Schenn has more points than Eller for crying out loud...But I was surprised Canucks only got a 3rd for Schenn, boggles my mind we got near equivalent value for a cup winner in Schenn as we did for Stillman with that 2021 3rd round prospect we got back
  8. Good deal for Detroit, I take Larkin at 8.7m 10 times out of 10 over HoBo at 8.5m...the track record for production and age difference makes it a no brainer to me. I like HoBo but not at his new price tag with 1 season of high end play/
  9. Barzal wasn't coming off a 100+ pt season like Petey will be this year tho...that is a big difference. NYI paid Barzal in the hope he can get to and above a PPG. Canucks fukked up doing a bridge deal with EP and nwo they will pay the consequences by paying him 2m or so more annually on his next deal
  10. I hope we dont take back a LD with term and 4m plus cap hit back. If we move Boeser it should be to a team that can absorb his contract like Carolina or Buffalo?
  11. any team but the laffs....and we didn't even get an overpayment from them, that sucks!
  12. Pens G prospect Blomqvist might interest the Canucks as a potential return?
  13. yet there are 0 rumours of teams being involved and with a week to week injury that all but shuts down a trade before the tdl in my opinion...
  14. agreed, less than 1% chance imo. Canucks seem to want to keep him, see how that unfolds for us in the future...good player but is getting older. BUT, as long as he stops sulking like a baby on the ice thats a big step in the right direction. JT will always make questionable passes that turn out poorly sometimes but he is a good playmaker. Hope his contract ages well for us as we have committed too him. Fans needs to realize, JT is more likely to be a Canuck long term vs being traded...like it or not that is the reality, if your unhappy stop watching or jump off the bandwagon and cheer for a different team. Us fans control sweet Fukc all when it comes to what happens with the roster...
  15. Not as long as Myers and OEL are on the team they have the crown they pass back and forth
  16. What about Pearson for Kerfoot adn we flip kerfoot this deadline with retention for a pick? Can laffs take on the 3.25m cap hit for next year though on Pearson, unlikely but not our problem! Allows laffs to add more or bring Murray of IR
  17. Nick Suzki's brother is a prospect for the Canes too Ryan I believe. Carolina seems to draft quite well, I was hoping we would have pried Eric Tulsky to be our new GM but we went in a different direction
  18. mostly some Canucks fans hoping to move JT and his 8m long term cap hit. I don't see a deal happening myself, think Boeser is more likely to move just hoping we get a RHD back and some cap space
