  1. That line would destroy, especially when you factor in the shiftiness and playmaking ability of Mittlestadt along with his speed. He would compliment Horvat and Boesser well while at the same time being able to move down and center another line.
  2. That would be idiotic. BPA unless that off the board pic is the second coming of Bure. Necas, Petterson or Lilijgren is dumb to select at 5th. Villardi, Mittlestadt, Glass, Heiskanen or bust. If Benning doesnt pick either of them outside of Nico and Patrick being selected, he should be fired.
  3. I'd rather they draft Lilijgren this draft and Rasmus Dahlin the next draft. Imagine the future of our D-corps with two swedish defenders that have the potential to be elite. Lilijgren-Dahlin Joulevi-Tanev Stetcher-Gudbranson
  4. Can the Canucks swap for another D and maybe a small plus on forward side?? Tanev to Jets for Jacob Trouba and a forward prospect. I think that would be a fair value for us and the jets and at the same time we would gain a forward prospect that might make our team. Also we would add a bit more offense with Trouba trading places with Tanev.

  6. Tell me about it, even the manila transit has a better card reader and they actually have way more than 3 gates. I wonder why they opted to only put 3 gates instead of 6 or 7 at the minimum.
  7. Didn't know Kassian had a smaller brother lol
  8. Yep, junkyard dogs are there to protect the property and don't let intruders in. So garbage man it is.
  9. I've got a gay friend who is really interested in meeting you. He says you are so cute and has a crush on you.
  10. In soccer, one section of the stadium is usually reserved for the rival fans while other sections are for the home fans. The fan of the home team sitting in the rival section is the idiot here and security did the right thing to remove him from that area. Go to any soccer stadium outside of North America and you will realize that things kind of work differently when it comes to soccer stadiums versus a hockey arena where all the fans are usually mixed.
  11. Because they are much closer in winning the cup than Vancouver
  12. LOL NFL? isn't real football what North Americans call soccer while the rest of the world calls it football?
  13. I agree with you, except $25K/yr in Vancouver will get you a basement suite in Surrey, unless you aren't living in Vancouver. Loving a job is priceless and it is great but if it is a minimum wage job, am not sure if it would be that great. The 2 important factors in a job is job satisfaction and salary.
  14. The problem is that the OP is expecting 100K/yr within 3 years working as a marketer. The only way the OP can possible make that amount within 3 years of graduation is if he opens up his own business and it would have to be a really successful business at that. I know that Vancouver is a tough place to make money, especially with the high tax and cost of living and expenses. So he should be thinking outside of the box and maybe go to some place where making that type of money is easier.
  15. I will say that OP seems like an ambitious guy but he needs to either put in the effort or think like a genius to reach his ultimate goals. Can the OP do that? That is the real question.
  16. If you want to make lots of money and run a successful business, you need to go outside of Vancouver and maybe outside of Canada. There are more business opportunities in Asian countries and middle east. I will also say that you need to bring down your expectations a little bit. Only people that make 100K a year within first 3 years of coming out of college are probably dentists, doctors and maybe some lawyers.
  17. Its Canucks fans impatience that annoys me. A team going to the SCF is still a great accomplishment win or lose. Obviously all the teams in the NHL compete for the cup but only one team can win it. To win the cup, it requires luck aside from speed, skill, finesse, grit, heart etc. NYR have played great but because of some bad bounces and luck, they are down 3-1. They should've been tied 2-2 or even be up 3-1 instead of being down 3-1.
  18. You go to SCF for a chance to win but you need everything to go your way. Even Boston, who was the best team in the NHL lost to Montreal this year. To destroy a team and trade everyone due to the SCF loss was the critical mistake, yet you seem to think that is the right way to do it. Missing the playoffs is much different than a SCF loss. The team that goes to the finals could perhaps make it there again if everything is intact. The Canucks lost key players like Ehrhoff yet still managed to win another presidents trophy despite their personnel losses. A team that misses the playoffs like the Oilers, might still miss it for the next 10 years. One team is much superior than the other and one team has a greater chance of winning the cup than the other. I will let you figure that one out for yourself.
  19. I do believe we would've won against Boston if Hamhuis hadn't got injured and Rome wasn't suspended. When one of your best D-man is out, it obviously weakens the team and I don't care if people see it as some kind of excuse because I do believe we were better than Boston and had the ability to beat them during that time. Too bad the fans and the GM got too impatient and threw it all away because of the loss at the finals. If we kept some of the key players like Ehrhoff, Salo and others, I would think we would've gone into the finals the very next year. MG made a critical mistake of not trying to keep Ehrhoff and it went downhill from there. The Canucks fans also get way too emotional after a loss and want to trade everyone like it makes the team better somehow.
  20. Am sorry but that is your ideal world. In a real world, not everything goes according to plan. Maybe Burke will pick Virtanen due to his size or Edmonton goes off-board and picks Ehler. You don't really know what the top 5 in this draft will be like so please refrain from making threads that make it seem like a guarantee that the Canucks will pick certain players. If any one of the the consensus top 5 drop (I said consensus), everything could change.
  21. Your thread doesn't make sense. How can they be the only 2 options for the Canucks? Dal Colle, Draisatil or even Reinhart could drop to 6, who knows. Besides, there is Ritchie and Virtanen aside from Ehlers and Nylander. There could be a lot of options for the Canucks when it comes to the 6th overall.
  22. Joel Quenneville is a smart coach but when you have Kane, Towes, Hossa, Sharp, Saad, Seabrook, Keith as your core players along with Scotty Bowman as the senior advisor, its hard not to win the cup advanced stats or not. Am not saying those stats don't help when it comes to coaching but I want to know if the majority of NHL coaches use that as their main part of their coaching strategy. Does Darryl Sutter, Mike Babcock, Dan Bylsma or Calude Julien use the same stats when it comes to coaching?
