  1. Your 2018-2019 New Jersey Devils Skinner - Eichel - Reinhart Neiderrieter - Carter - Dadonov Lehkonen - D. Strome - Bratt Bjork - Cullen - Nieto Andrighetto Eriksson Wiederer Yandle - Spurgeon Ceci - Gologoski DeKeyser - Savard Beaulieu Juulsen Sulak Simek Schneider Markstrom Considering I took over this team last January... pretty stoked about the depth Ive amassed!
  2. Props to Bo so far. Needs to work on face offs, but he’s looking pretty solid.
  3. Really unimpressed with Virt so far. He has had a good shot, but lacks the iq to really use it to his advantage. The same iq he lacks to play with offensively gifted players. Really hope he can embrace the role of a bottom 6 energy player... and do that consistently.
  4. Anyone looking to dump a decent F contract? I have 6ish M to play with and next years 1st
  5. With Zetterberg retiring, is his league contract terminated? or does he live on IR?
  6. JV does not possess the IceQ to play with EP40 while sandpaper can add add an element to a scoring line, it certainly isn’t necessary. It’s really all about how the line thinks together. Burrows was the triplet because he understood where he where he needed to be. Jake still skates around looking lost.
  7. Pettersson actually reminds me a lot of Alexei Kovalev. All around elite offensive skill.
  8. Honestly, the full games I’ve seen him in last season (about 15.. shl, wc, and wjhc). this is how I felt after pretty much every game. Kind of meh... gets pushed around a bit.. but has 3 or 4 outstanding plays per game... And he cashes in when he has the opportunity. I think Dahlen is the better player honestly, but Petterssons flat out skill is on another level. Best part is we have players in dahlen, gaudette, Gadjovic, Lind, etc to help fill in and hide some of his all around deficiencies moving forward. Chances are we see large stretches of the Canucks being hemmed in and dominated... and if we survive and the opponents allow Pettersson or Boeser and opportunity on the counter, it’ll be in the back of their net. Quinn Hughes will absolutely change this teams ability to create offence. The way he can retrieve pucks and move it to the right spots with the elite snipers we are growing.... this team is poised to become a dynamic and lethal offensive force.
  9. Interesting that this kid can have a meh game and walk away with three points. Outside the outlet pass to Dahlen, the bomb wrister, and poise on the PP, he didn’t have a very good game... imo at least. But the kid has impact offence written all over him.
  10. Lind with some strong work last night, specifically with takeaways on the back check and using his body on the forecheck. He used his speed well and shows a solid work ethic. Couldnt finish his chances the way Dahlen and Pettersson did, and got lost positionally a few times in the O zone... but I do think he’ll develop into a solid middle 6 RW at the nhl level.
  11. I don’t see nhl caliber just yet, but this year in the A with Gadjovic etc should be excellent for his development. Nice thanks have so many potential diamonds in the rough.
  12. Canucks/ Green NEEDED/WANTED sandpaper. Guys like Eriksson and Gagner are destined for the press box if a kid out plays them with skill. Also keep in mind that this teams track record with injury is abysmal. Idk if it’s the travel, but we always have a couple long term injuries, while seemingly never having the depth to support. There will be plenty of time for kids to come and steal a job. Idk why people think just because some of these vets are signed, that they cannot be dumped for peanuts or waived. It’ll happen if that said player is being out played. This is good! The kids shouldn’t be handed jobs. Most fans will cry like they did when Boeser was scratched his first two games... but that certainly didn’t hurt his development. Patience is key here. We finally have a system with some depth. Also to add, since no one really talks about it... do you guys think those vets want to be replaced? F-No. The pressure of the future should have them on their toes, forcing them to play exactly how Green wants. It’s really a win win scenario. Idk how pundits can stand and say the canucks are looking to win? They are looking to not get stomped and to force teams to play them hard for a win. This club is still 2-3 years from playoffs... by that time, many of these vets will be gone, regardless of their contracts.
  13. Honestly I like all the components there. I’m unfamiliar with schaller and Beagle for the most part having not seen them enough, but all the reports I see are of work horse mentality and tough to play against. I too think these types of players will greatly assist the likes of virtanen and leipsic with their physical/pesky games. This team should have the ability to grind out some wins. being that the idea seems to be to fill out the roster with veteran knowhow and work ethic, they’ll be able to absorb the greasy minutes and allow the youthful skill to focus on being creative with scoring. I’m quite interested to see how green deploys them. And believe the PP will look something like Boeser Horvat Pettersson Edler (unknown forward) ...which I honestly expect to do some damage.
  14. My projected lineup... prediction, not want. Baertschi Horvat Boeser Eriksson Sutter Pettersson Roussel Beagle Virtanen Leipsic Gagner Schaller Goldobin edler stecher Pouliot tanev MDZ Gudbranson Biega Hutton waived: Gaunce (mostly cause I think he’s least likely to be picked up between him Leipsic, and Hutton) Goldy gets traded or stays on the roster. I foresee this group for the first month of horrific scheduling.... then we see some inevitable injuries and call ups. nice thing about this year is we WILL see Dahlen, Gaudette, Lind, Demko, Juolevi et all at some point guaranteed. Regardless of whom makes the opening night team, it’ll be an interesting season.
  15. Baertschi Petersson Eriksson im 90% sure this will get a good look. That leaves Goldobin, Leipsic, etc to battle for the spot beside Bo and Boeser. They dont like Virtanen on the LW either.
  16. I really liked Boqvist as well.... but at the WJSS, the difference between him and Hughes is night and day.
  17. Hello y’all. Looking for 2-4 GMs for my cash keeper league. (Potentially 2 rosters to take over, 2 expansion rosters) Coming up on season 2 on Fantrax. EDIT: 1 of 4 taken
  18. Agreed. I’d have Hughes easily ahead of both of them as well
  19. Anyone been watching Woo so far? I havent seen any game action, and not much in the way of reports so far...
