  1. CHRIS TANEV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! POINT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I get that it's physical at this time of the year, but that's bull$&!#. Really Zuc, that's pretty low brow.
  3. Any chance I can get a Naslund signature made for me?
  4. Just bury it in, I don't care who scores it. Just win this now! Don't let them back in. Get the door shut.
  5. Let's go, eliminate Minnesota and make the playoffs. Continue to climb, with Edmonton, Nashville out. There is as good a chance this year to at least get past a round.
  6. I 100% agree with you. It needs to be a steady assault up the ice. Full bore on their defense. Especially with Suter out. Attack, attack, attack.
  7. LETS GO CANUCKS. I've been a way awhile due to work and travel. Here's hoping for a long post season run. Continue pushing. I hate the Leafs, with a burning passion.
  8. There are several teams stuck with morose contracts: Calgary: Lucic Edmonton: Neal (who could actually rebound) Buffalo: Okposo Ottawa: Anisimov, Gaborik, MacArthur Los Angeles: Kovalchuk, Brown San Jose: Vlasic It happens all the time that a team is stuck overpaying because of an unexpected playoff run, a rebirth in a veteran team etc. There are contracts in the next three years that will look horrendous: Doughty, Karlsson, Kopitar, and so on where it gets to a point where you're paying a player for what they've done and rewarding them. Now int he case of Doughty and Kopitar they are hoisting championships. With Erik Karlsson, they chose to give an acquisition that they paid for heavily for and retain him hoping for what he is when healthy. Three more seasons or at least two more before he is bought out. Plenty of general manager's make the mistake for it to become another's to clean up. It is what it is, bury him and move on.
  9. Nylander, has 30 goals in 165 AHL games. He didn't come to pre-season prospect camp, because he was 70 games expense. He's got an ego problem and he's only offensive minded. He looked okay at the tail end of last year, but seriously. He's a clown.
  10. So yeah, this was a signature request. Or to toss shade on my favorite player on the ice ever. lol
  11. I like Leivo, I feel he's another one of those guys who needed a new lease on life and he came in and has worked out pretty well so far. Here's hoping year 2, is that much better with a full training camp with the Green Men.
  12. If it's possible can someone make a Mogilny signature in both Canucks and Sabres jersey's. He's my favorite all around player. Slightly over Jagr and Naslund.
  13. Higher upside, than Archibald. However, they are similar for sure otherwise.
  14. in an off season with a lack of defensemen, I'm surprised he's still on the open market. I'm sorry, but Hutton is a better player than Chiarot. That may be a biased outlook, but on pure eye test, give me Hutton.
  15. As a Sabres watcher, he's a big kid who can skate, and hit. He's got all the tools, but not the toolbox. He'll never be much more than an energy player, but he's a great kid and goes on scoring stretches. Perfect Utica addition.
  16. Benn isn't a terrible addition. However, is it really worth the continuity of Ben Hutton. I'm sure someone in the near future signs him, as he's not a bad player. I have no issues with the short term signing overall.
  17. Considering he's coming off of a contract what $250K shy of six million and he took less than expected reported on an okay term (5 seasons). It's an okay addition. If he stays healthy it could become an above average addition. We'll see. Benn is an okay depth piece as well, so it's about as good as you can hope for. Here's hoping Juolevi finally shows that he can stay healthy and make the roster. I'm pretty sure this ends Ben Hutton's time officially. Regardless, of "what was said about" remaining in contact with his agent. He'll likely go elsewhere for a one or two year deal. As, I lived in Rochester I've seen enough of Myers to know that it took him until his 26th-27th birthday to finally become a competent defensemen. A lot of that is on the coaching carousel in Buffalo as well as the inability to assess that he needed to be sheltered much more. Myers, was Ristolainen before all of this. He played high minutes as the #1 D, yet truly was our 3rd best defensemen.
  18. Overall, despite a poor season on a great team JT Miller comes with a lot of intangibles. Able to slot in anywhere in the top six at all positions, as well as being a Swiss Army Knife utility jewel. He's able to kill penalties, use his speed to get into the tight places, and can play the wall. He's locked in at 26 for four more years at a VERY flexible cap hit of 5.25M. So for all these reasons, I call it a win. Mark Mazanec, had no place on this team and provides Tampa Bay an alternative goalie for the AHL and a spot starter for injury. The third round pick is fine, and if we're being realistic, the Canucks will have a hard time making the playoffs. A lot will have to go right. Starting with Edler and staying healthy, especially the latter. In addition, they will need to utilize the UFA market to fill a spot in the top six for defense, and some upgrades on both the bottom six forward group and another mix forward. Overall, it's a solid B trade for me.
  19. My personal top 10: Kakko Hughes Turcotte Byram Zegras Cozens Boldy Newhook Soderstrom Dach Dach's skating is the one hindrance for me not having him in the top 5. It's completely possible that he improves and I'm wrong. However, Kakko, Turcotte, and Zegras are my favorite players in this draft at least from the first round consensus. I also love Hoglander, Tomasino, Nikkanen.
  20. For me, they're still a bit light on depth offensively. Trust me, I'm not disagreeing with you. However, their offense is centered around one line. So for me, they're still behind St Louis, Nashville, San Jose for the moment. They are a top 4 team for sure though in the West entering the 2019-20 season.
  21. I was fine with the cap hit, and the length. Good on Edler's camp working to an amicable situation. The last vesting reminder of the 2011 season :/
  22. I'm good with this too. All three are right in that 5-12 area for me. Each would bring a solid addition to the system.
  23. Said any team in the draft every year.
  24. Either way, the size is the issue I have. I've seen too many Daniel Briere situations to say for sure that he could be the exception. I'm fine personally missing on him, when there are so many other great prospects in this class. This team needs to hit on it's high picks, like any team does.
