  1. Thats the only routes he CAN run. You're talking him up as if he's Randy Moss, which he's not. Corners and safeties have enough speed that they'll be able to close in on him and if they don't they'll give them some cushion up front. Troy Williamson, Justin Hunter, Dorian Green Beckham, all those guys have the measurables (in some combination) of a DK Metcalf. Fast, big, are only good on go's fades, and posts. All of them are out of the league. I'll take a small but an absolute technician in route running over a burner thats big with a limited route tree anyday of the week.
  2. Tyler Motte. Now he knows he's an NHLer and posted career highs last season with a quiet 9 goals. Maybe he gets 13-15 this year?
  3. They'll get to top 5 mostly based on the volume of attempts with the rbs AND Wilson running for his life half the time when he drops back. Penny is inconsistent and McKissac will catch a few balls but not really a threat running. Lockett is going to be decent but the supporting cast is way too lacking. Jaron Brown is a #3-#4 in most teams, their group of TE's are unproven, and DK Metcalf is very overrated. His routes are absolutely dreadful and he's injury prone. Top 5 offence is HIGHLY unlikely, they'll be in the bottom half of the league. That being said, the only thing thats going to keep the Hawks in the playoff hunt is the fact they seem to make plays when they matter, and also being gift wrapped 4 easy wins since they play the Cards and the 49ers. They aren't explosive enough, but they'll grind away wins with possesion, special teams, and Wilson basically walking on water. They'll probably end up being 9-7 or 10-6 in very ugly fashion
  4. I'd sure hope so, Lawrence is going to be embarressing college defences in the next few years if they let him stay. The guy is the next Peyton Manning. Almost no flaws in his game other than maybe bulking up a tad. Arm strength, accuracy, height, mobility and a football IQ thats off the charts. Its almost comical that they would even dare compare Tua to Lawrence
  5. The Boys is a pretty good series on Amazon Prime. Just binged watched it in 3 days. A real nice take on superheroes, its quite gory. Solid 8.5 out of 10
  6. Oh hes with them now? Cam Wake is the greatest defensive player in the CFL's history, and he did that in 2 years
  7. Yeah Im not liking the Titans this year, I can even see Tannehill getting some starts over Mariotta. Other than Derrick Henry, theres not much to like about that team.
  8. From what Ive seen from OBJ this off season, the guy looks and sounds like a changed man. Its not so much because of Baker, but because of Jarvis Landry. Landry is like a brother to him and his BFF, if theres one guy OBJ is going to listen to, its him and Landry just happens to be a consumate pro. I think their egos will be held in check, its just as a matter of if they can handle the hype and expectation. The Browns are absolutely loaded on both sides of the ball
  9. Also the Ravens WRs are garbage. Willie Snead is their #1 guy, whos a massive downgrade from what they had last year with John Brown and I think Crabtree? and thats not saying a whole lot. I can see the Bengals being .500 team, possibly better if healthy, but defintely not bottom 5 of the league.
  10. Im not saying Kamara isn't great, but its a massive change from sharing carries to all of a sudden, being the main guy. Kamara IMO looked like a better player with Ingram sharing the load. Sean Payton has always used dual (3 backs when they won the superbowl) backs and is an amazing play caller. I could be proven wrong, but this is just based of what Ive seen from Kamara through the years. The Bengals are going to be decent, its tough to fathom that 3 teams will make it to the post season from the AFC North but it seems like everyone has written them off and just assumed the Ravens are the better team, which they aren't. These same Bengals last year beat the Ravens in the 1st outing with Mixon not playing in the 2nd half, and the Ravens barely beat them in the 2nd meeting with no AJ Green Full disclosure too, Im not a Bengals fan by any means, but Ive seen enough Bengals games last year to get a pretty good evaluation of the team (fantasy football purposes). Im a broncos fan, and my team is terrible
  11. Uhm, no. They were 6-10 last year and could've easily gotten 2-3 more wins had Green and Dalton been healthy so highly unlikely they'll finish bottom 5. Theres way worse teams in the league than the Bengals. I don't think Baltimores defence is going to be as good as everyone makes them out to be
  12. Not quite, Goldobin did produce when he was in the top 6, and the team won. Travis wanted to hammer out a lesson by switching in Josh Leivo almost immediately on the 1st line and the 1st unit, howd that turn out for us? I'll take a player whos deficient in the work effort category and we win over a guy who plays the right way and we lose.
  13. Most importantly, beyond points, its WINNING. Thats the be all end all, and before Leivo, the Canucks were in a playoff spot. Im not saying thats the main reason, but when Leivo came in to the lineup, EP40 slumped, and when he slumped, the team ultimately went the same way as well
  14. Whos to say that maybe Goldobin had something to do with Petterrsons success on the PP? Its fact that EP40 had large scoring slumps when Leivo was in the PP. EP40 was still scoring at a torrid pace with Goldobin by his side after the Matheson hit. Im not saying Goldobin is the reason why EP40 had a great scoring output the first half of the sseason, but you have to give the kid credit for at least contributing to it. I think everybodys seen enough Canucks games that you can't just assume this player, that player (Ferland and Miller) playing on Petterssons wing is all of a sudden going to lead to success. Remember Ericsson playing with the Sedins? They were supposed to be great weren't they? That being said, Goldobin is going to need a great camp to make it in the roster, Im not saying he's going to be a 1st liner right away. Im just stating the fact we shouldn't give up on him just yet. If EP40 is going, the team is going
  15. LOL, the guy just lead the AFC in rushing while missing 2.5 games, and the last quarter of the season, elevated his game when Dalton, AJ Green and Tyler Boyd were out. He'll be a top 5 back this year when all is said and done. I don't think Kamara is as good as everyone makes him out to be, Mixon is much more talented
  16. Actually, I think the Bengals will the be the suprise team for the North as the 3rd team in the 3 team race. Im not buying in on the Ravens making any noise this season. Lamar Jackson can fool defenses his first year, thats not going to happen in his second year. DCoordinators have enough film on Lamar to exploit him and shut down whatever running game they have. Ingram, Edwards are both slow, Kenneth Dixon is just plain awful. I like the Justice Hill kid though, but too many guys to overtake
  17. Fact, Elway wouldn't have a superbowl without Terrell Davis. That being said, its a rare occurrence that an RB is more important than the Qb, and the Cowboys would be one of them. Dak couldn't pass over 200 yards without Zeke in the backfield, and their win loss record reflects that. If a Qb is going to get paid 40 million, I'd expect him to win SOME games by himself, running game or not like Russell Wilson or Andrew Luck. Dak Prescott is a barely top 15 QB that has the best RB, who plays behind argueably the best (top 3 at least) offensive lines in football.
  18. You pretty much got it bang on (except for the Naslund wrister, Goldys is probably a couple notches or 3 comparing to Nazzys, for now at least). Last year we did some flashes last year with him, especially when he was with Petey. For some reason, our franchise and Goldy REGARDLESS of who was playing in the other wing produced. Ive said before, there is a correlation to EP40s slump or decreased to production to the time Leivo was inserted in the lineup. Travis has his work cut out for him and is caught in a very peculiar spot, play the guy with lazy tendencies but we WIN, or play the guy that plays the right way and we LOSE. Its fact that EP40's best scoring performances came with Goldy playing on his line, we can't explain it but for some reason there is chemistry there. I still think we shouldnt give up on the kid, or at the very least not give him up for just anything. Theres enough skill and talent level there, with the right prodding, Goldy can be an every day contributor
  19. Not a bad proposal. Pulljarvi and a draft pick (3rd?) for Baertschi
  20. Sutter is injured every year, at some point you can't count on him anymore to be on the lineup. Theres no reason for all this crap of Sutter "getting the hard minutes" or hes better in the faceoff dot if he can't even be healthy enough to be on the ice. Its what, year 4 now since he's been a Canuck? Has he even played a game in February or March the last what, 3 years?
  21. So going by your eye test , was Sutter any better last season when he was healthy? Maybe you should get your eyes checked if you thought he was
  22. Every year its something different for Sutter, 2 seasons ago it was an abdominal strain or tear (something like that), last year hernia, theres always something wrong with him. The guy makes Tanev look like he's made out of iron. Yes faceoffs are important, but overall play, was Sutter better than Gaudette?, no he was not. Gaudette kept up with the pace of the game, and he showed that can he drive SOME offence. Sutter when he played last year was a step behind on both ends of the rink.
  23. Silly how so? Just like your insight? The team is trying to keep Gaudette on the roster and trying to get rid of Sutter for a bag of pucks. Sutter was terrible last year when he played
  24. Wouldn't be suprised if somehow Sutter gets injured in the pressbox while watching our boy Gaudz light it up in his spot
  25. Yes because Sutter will probably be injured by mid-November
