Well if you're gym has multiple squat racks and isn't very busy it would probably be fine, or didn't have any spare bars. But come on, if you can curl a plate aside, dead lifting the bar off the floor can't be that hard.

My gym desperately needs a new squat rack, there's only one and half the time it's taken up by people doing curls or anything but actual squats.

5'11 170 shredded would look pretty decent IMO. Obviously it depends on other things too other than just weight. 5'11 170 is by no means huge or jacked but chances are it will still look strong/athletic to the average nonlifter.

Not a huge fan of Torts. He knows his stuff for sure and might get some good results at the beginning, but it will likely be only a matter of time before we all get tired of his bull. This makes no sense. Lifting is the best way to gain mass. It's like saying you wanna get better at an instrument before you start practicing. I've trained off and on for a few months, finally got serious about it almost 3 weeks ago, and I'm already looking a bit bigger especially in the chest, and my measurements have gone up as well. This is all despite the fact that I managed to shed a bit of the flab I had before. Gotta love noob gains. Hardest part for me is eating enough, it's hard to make myself big meals when I'm busy most of the day.

Hangover 3 (6/10) - Had its moments. Nothing memorable but it had some pretty good one liners. I would recommend staying until after the credits because it's by far the funniest scene. Obviously not nearly as good as the original but it ended up being better than I expected, and I liked it better than the second. Gonna go see FF6 next week, should be sick.

Gonna start lifting heavily and eating right this summer, I've done it before but never really got into it. Right now I have the opposite of chicken legs from playing so much hockey. Can anyone recommend a good cheap gym in and around the tricities. So far the cheapest seems to be Club16.

Linden is a great guy and great player but has experience with the GM side of things. What makes him qualified for the position over any other guy that had a long career in the league? I don't players play for their GM's, they play for themselves and their teammates. OP seems to want a nostalgic figurehead type for the organization. Sure he's a popular guy but that doesn't mean you have the skills and experience to run the business/strategic side of things. If they did hire him I would rather have him as an assistant coach, that's a place where he can more directly relate to and lead the players.

Can't believe people are whining so much and taking it personally. He made his decision, get over it. There wasn't anything more the Canucks could have done. We couldn't offer him more money, and we couldn't have Gretzky call him either. The only thing we could have done is promise him ice time, but it would be stupid and unfair to our other prospects to guarantee a roster spot to a guy who has never played an NHL game. I would have loved to have his hockey skills on the Canucks, but I'm not gonna go cry about it.

I remember Samuelsson playing pretty well with the twins a couple years ago. Daniel-Henrik-Samuelsson Burrows-Kesler - ?????? (Raymond/Higgins/Sturm/Hodgson etc.)

Still I his play outweighs the fact that he may draw less penalties than he should.
