Columbus would likely want a guaranteed first round pick in this years draft. Columbus needs a goalie though so they definitely would want Demko. Boeser, Demko + another prospect or pick and likely Baertschi.
+ Conditional 1st 20/21 + 2nd 20 something like that... Probably more.
As someone else mentioned. We'd have a much better chance at getting Dumba for Boeser, straight across, no other add-ons.... I could see that, especially with Boeser's negotiations going on right now.
Question is... Would you want to do that?

Columbus would totally trade Jones... ...for Pettersson.
So, unless you wanna do that, let's stop wasting everyone's time, m'kay?
I have both in my keeper pool.... Probably as close as it gets to having both of them on our team in this reality. Stranger things have happened....

Zack MacEwan is a player I’m really excited about as well. He might turn into a guy who can slot into either wing as pure C’s tend to be able to do. I honestly can’t believe how underrated both of these players are. With how rapidly they have trended up they might come into training camp and blow a lot of minds. Zack MacEwan was absolutely savage at times last year on the comets. I’m not a fan of everything JB has done but both of these players are beautiful, nipple tingling assets.
Lol... Oh really... Couldn't tell. Seriously Bubbles, I was sure you were a full time troll... This is the first post I've seen if yours with any... I mean any positive perspective on any player on this team....
And I hate to say it but I agree. MacEwan should and probably will get a good look this year. And I wouldn't be surprised if he finds a permanent roll on this team by year end. Thanks for a positive outlook for once.
Oh yah and hockey Gaud will develop into a Justin Williams type of player... book it!

Perfect age, perfect 4th line penalty killing roll for this team going forward. Does this mean, that Schaller is moved or sent down to Utica?

I like this player. He’s not flashy, but could be a decent bottom pair guy. Odds are against him though, so likely he’s not good enough.
I concur.... Hairy alien puppet. AHL bound for sure.... Good asset management... At least Utica will be good... Some day.

Does anyone have access to the Tim&Sid video with Burke's comments on Myers?... Can't find it.

He is listed as 6' 8". He can skate though. Need a big guy to protect Pettey and BB after Gud left.
That will be Benn, Miller and Rousel's job. Myers isn't aggressive BUT he wont get pushed around that's for sure!

If this is the case... That's a good signing. Good term and salary for Myers in this market.
Hope it doesn't come with a full or any NTC. Then it will be an excellent signing....

Ok, but did VP score all 4 goals or what???
Yes he did. Good read though, gives some background to his upbringing.

Very promising. Will be fun to follow and see how he develops this season. If he pans out his style of play would be a great addition to the Canucks.
Does anyone know his contract status? Can he sign/come over at the end of the season?
I think the answer is yes. From what I've read, Hogs not to long ago, signed a 3 year contract with his SHL team. If the canucks wanted him over for say... the start of the 20-21 season, they could buy out the final two years of his contract.

Man. The Benning defenders are hopeless. They actually truly thinking pissing away our future for middling players was the right move. Wow. Just wow.
Ferraro said it best in that video. Dim Jim doesn’t even know what this team is and should be. He is like a buyer rebuilder which is just baffling because that direction is inherently flawed. Shocked how people can agree with this direction. Sad sad times if this is what our fan base has become.

A 50% chance of returning to the NHL after this season, would the Canucks still own his rights?

wise words from a very wise man ..
if "western" world leaders dont wake up from this collective mindset they have of throwing their own citizens under the bus for various interests to get them elected. were going to see more and more trumps. Trump was a backlash to this, and its only the begining.
I don't think your avatar represents your view....

I am an optimist so it needs to be taken with a grain of salt, however I feel that he may be a 10-15 talent that is basically ready for that next step. With previous second rounders like Lind and Gadjovich I didn't have that same feeling. Gadjovich's skating was a barrier and when I saw Lind live a couple of times he was good, but I unfortunately didn't see that x-factor that I was hoping for. I think they both have chances of the NHL (Especially Lind) but Hoglander appears to be on another level. His drive, speed, creativity are all best in class and he is NHL size already. There really is no red flags off the bat that I can see.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

If the original home white Stick in Rink with the white V's on the arms were included, it would have made the Top 25.
I don't know if it would have made the top 25 BUT I agree that they are a great jersey.

Did you watch the playoffs this year?
Do you see this team winning a round or even a game against a team like Vegas, Flames or San Jose?
The team is still way too small for playoff hockey and there are not enough draft picks for Benning to trade away to get good bigger players.
There is not enough top six forward or top four defense depth to sustain two injuries this year to the top six or bottom four.
The playoffs might attainable but the cost could be the #1 pick overall.
The Canucks are still hamstrung by all of Benning's clause contracts so trades are extremely one-sided.
I know many fans don't want to see just how bad off this team is, they grasp at every positive and milk it to the bone and I know this is foru is owned and operated by the Canucks but constantly doing these incredibly strange moves and somehow saying they are good for the team in 4 years is, or should be insulting to any fan that has even looked at how other teams built success. This is going on since 2014 next year is 2020, six years and the club has only a Gillis first round pick and maybe 3 Benning firsts as impact players while other team are counting on their picks as veterans now.
This team is cap compromised, i am sure Boeser will bet an outrageous contract, he shouldn't, he should get around or less than Nylander's, this team is contract clause handcuffed with older vets.
They insist players are not good until they are in their late twenties and have missed the "new" NHL where 24 to 26 is now considered player's best years on average.
After trading away a first for Miller what do you think other team s will want for top six forwards? Miller got most of his points playing with last year's top line, remember Gagner was a 50 point guy in Columbus playing almost the exact same role with the same types of players. Miller will be better than most forwards on the roster but not worth what was paid to a cap restrained team.
We on CDC acquired a new member.... Or maybe a hold out from the Gillis regime... "It takes an Army".

Is it though? Or is it a derivative of the CBA...
I have a very strong feeling the Canucks are paying for Gillis’ then arrogance in negotiations and not Luongo’s actual contract.
It has been reported over the years that Gillis rubbed and number of team and NHL exec's the wrong way during his tenure. So I don't know about 'out to get' the canucks but I also don't think Bettman and crew feel sorry for us either.
