    I think Benning has been an awful GM but there’s no denying he had a great FA day. Aside from Poolman who somehow got 4 years I really don’t see any contracts coming back to haunt the Canucks like previous years. This does not absolve JB of all of his past blunders but even the JB haters like me can’t complain too much about yesterday. Here’s hoping Canucks are competing for a playoff spot next season. Go Canucks Go!

      Yep.  He's signed for what should be his prime.  No reason to expect a sudden decline due to age.

      Beagle was also in very good shape for his age and didnt mind the Beagle contract because of where the team was at, but now they we are getting more competitive I think the team needs to focus on allocating its cap to top 6 forwards and top 4 Dmen. While filling the depth with affordable contracts and prospects. Hopefully a guy like Woo will be competing for the bottom pairing RD position in 2 years.
