    Perlini had so much natural ability when he first came into the league. Could've been a heck of a player.

    If you're going to put miller and boeser together you better hope theres a good skater like pdg on the other wing. Anyway, the reality is pdg had chemistry with miller. Moreso than maybe any player since petey.

    Did you see how pdg brought the best out of Miller last yr? Pdg is a player that belongs on the team. I like motte as a person and he works hard but he got steamrolled all game when he was here. Hes not hard to play against.

    It was the way the team just fought for him as their leader. His character, his work ethic, his entire demeaner just brought out the best in our team. Our players would go through a wall for him. Thats the leader we need here.

    Trevor had such a powerful stride. Even when he came back here a 2nd time around, he still was so strong on his skates. Man i miss having a Linden on this team.

    Excellent post..agree completely. Ppl dont realize how good Bourque, Pronger, Niedermayer, Makar, Lidstrom, Hedman were and are... if you have this guy on your team you are going to automatically compete because they take over the game. I was pumped when Pronger won MVP- we have never seen a dman just own the opposition and carry his team like that on a physical and skill level.

    Nothing weak about Perry. In his prime he was a force and possibly best powerforward in hockey.

    Yes, this is what ive been saying as well. It shows the lack of knowledge on this board with the amount of posters who have somehow convinced themselves we are a good team with journeyman perv cole on our top pair. The defense is middle of pack at best. Hirose, Johansson, Juulsen, Brisebois, Woo could be NHL regulars someday however.

    Silovs is going to be our #1 in a couple years. He has the mentality and talent.

    Well we had Halak the year before and he sh1t the bed. I was hoping maybe Silovs could backup- he looked amazing last season, but he needs to play in the AHL. He will be a #1 here one day. Martin was great the year before, but horrendous last year- no idea what happened with him but hoping for a bounce back.

    Quinn was the best. Wish he was still around running this team. We'd look a lot different and have a team full of men rather than marshmallows.

    My post meant to read that it needs at least 3 more elite players if it intends to compete. I wouldnt call Demko elite. Aside from his play in the bubble 3 years ago, hes been middle of the pack. Petey and Hughes arent enough to win as has been evident by us failing to even come close to making the playoffs year after year.

    Theyre kinda handcuffed with no one wanting Boeser, or Garland.
