  1. Dhali talks like he has marbles in his mouth but you get the point. Both sides want a long term deal, the question is can they find common ground.
  2. Rick on Donnie and Dhali today regarding Boeser... "I keep hearing though the canucks, both sides would like to cut a new long term deal. They are gonna try though"
  3. Carolina got sent to the cleaners. Calgary still has Lindholm and Hanafin Carolina has a 21 year old goalie who is looking like an AHL backup and a 20 yeah old who is middling in the SHL (those were the two 2nds they got for fox) Crazy to think how good Carolina is and to imagine how good they would have been had they got pieces with term/club control.
  4. That's all fine and dandy but we need Miller to be on the re-sign train.
  5. You are wrong. You've been proven wrong and pretty much admitted it. Next summer is still next year no matter how you slice it. Now as far as calling me a bitch? Maybe we can meet for a beer and discuss that in detail.
  6. We are in the year 2022... eg. This summer I'm taking a trip to tofino. Next summer the one I'll probably plan a trip to Hawaii.
  7. Come on HKSR... I know you can read. Stop trolling
  8. Chances are Byram doesn't make it to 200 games. That's a huge no
  9. There is a bunch of 20 year olds that I would trade miller for... unfortunately those teams wouldn't trade them for Miller. I was replying to defcon who was making 20 year old Ovechkin,Stamkos, Kucherov or Chara sound like a bad thing.
  10. I would trade JT in a heartbeat for a 20 year old Ovechkin,Stamkos, Kucherov or Chara. You wouldn't?
  11. Oh... you were eluding to last years shortened season and this years season that is only 2/3's completed...112 games to be exact. Still trying to figure out how a player who is 7th in ice time amongst forwards and has scored 17 goals in his last 82 games is "a great 4th liner but not a great 3rd liner".
  12. Motte is 7th in ice time amongst Canucks forwards and has scored 17 goals over his last 82 games played (playoff bubble included). He's a little more than a 4th liner.
  13. Agreed, he has to go for as long of term as possible. If he signed a 5 year deal he would be out of luck as a 36 year old looking for a payday. Makes no sense, his agent would never allow it. Not to mention what if he gets a career ending injury? He needs to hit it out of the park on this contract.
  14. I was putting down the bare minimum, 9 mil is a good guess.
  15. IF he wants to re-sign here I'm thinking the deal would be no less than 8mil AAV and even then to get that low we would have to sign him for 6 or more seasons bringing him to age 36-38. That's a tough pill to swallow after 34 or so. On the other hand if he has a season like this one next year I can see him getting 9.5x8 on the open market during the silly season. At the end of the day it all comes down to "does he want to stay here". If he doesn't nothing else matters.
