  1. A study at UBC business school found that NHL players peak at age 28, Brock just turned 25 a week ago
  2. Everyone thought Ferland was OK too, Lindros figured it was just a bump on the head. Every case is different.
  3. Listen... I like Garland as much as the next guy but you aren't getting Noah Dobson for him, let's get that out of our heads right now.
  4. No MOVE Clause.... you can't waive him without his permission.
  5. Especially now that he publicly stated that the media here is annoying.
  6. Even though we've argued with HKSR throughout this thread about JT not wanting to re-sign it actually hits close to home seeing him give up the fight. Sad day indeed.
  7. "I'm playing with this team and this is where I'm trying to get wins with these guys" Definitely sounds like he is being a good soldier and playing out his contract.
  8. His agent was on Donnie and Dhali today and said "don't expect anything soon, they will start interviewing in May or June"
  9. Pearson is -6th in ice time amongst Canucks forwards (5 seconds a game behind #5) -6th in scoring amongst Canucks forwards (5 points back of #3 and wayyyyy ahead of #7)
  10. Unfortunately we will have 3.15M in other goalie dead cap (1.9m for Holtby and 1.25m for Halak), 3.65M total with JV's buyout
  11. They have been talking with 31 other teams. Of course rumors are going to leak out safe bet they are not coming from Jim and Alvin, Friedman talks to everyone in the business.
  12. Still a pipe dream for him after his train wreck February.
  13. -Eric lindros was traded after sitting out his first year. -Joe Murphy was traded after only 90 games with the wings. -Brian Berard was traded halfway through his 3rd season. -Jovonovski was traded after his 4th. -Sundin after his 4th -Wickenheiser after his 4th There are of course a bunch of players that the teams wished they had traded right away while they still had their "1st overall shine" but they were stubbornly held onto until they were worthless (Stephan,Daigle,Yakapov etc.)
  14. .883sv% now for halak after his hellish February (was .918sv% at the start)
  15. Wow, you got all of that from his 13 minutes of uneventful ice time? I was watching quite closely to see if he was going to show me anything like the hype I've heard. I saw a young 3rd pairing dman that wasn't brutal but definitely didn't show a lick of star power. Young defensemen take time and the kid is only 20, I'm pretty sure he will develop into a solid top 4 Dman. The pronger 2.0 was tougue and cheek but to label that abbreviated performance as Sublime is a massive stretch. This is my 3rd time watching the kid play, I'm baffled at the talk of "untouchable" in the conversation of a JT miller trade. Solid young d-man with room to grow, he would definitely have to be a "piece" in a Miller deal but to even imagine him as having more value than JT and his contact is insanity.
  16. That might be the most horrible analogy ever in cdc history. Anyone who watched petey would see a player with great speed, an elite shot and excellent hockey sense who missed all of training camp, hindered and down right snake bitten. To compare him to a player that has 15 games under his belt as a 3rd pairing dman is laughable at best. Next time just stick with "he is young and you can have off games" like a wise man once said.
  17. Yeah he looks to be a good prospect with a chance at a decent career... he is definitely not too good to be included in a trade for a top 10 nhl scorer on a sweetheart deal though.
