I've got a crappy feeling he will sign with the coilers... Best place for him to cash in on his next contract is riding shotgun with mcdavid and draisaitl
Seeing as Boston gave up a 1st and two 2nds for lindholm and promptly signed him @6.5 million till he is 37 I would have to believe there is a chance we could find a taker. Big problem is his NMC choking out the market.
Not that I think that the Devils would be willing to give up the asking price but I will bite and give you 3 easy reasons.
-99 points in 80 games last year
-5.25 million dollars for his final year
-veteran leadership
A better question would be... can you give me any reasons (besides cost of acquisition) why 31 other teams wouldn't want Miller?
Just in time too. His save percentage has creeped up to .903 after last night. If he got over .905 we would have had to pay him 250k and add that to next year's cap as well.
I showed his last 5 starts... you asked why I didn't include yesterday... he didn't start the game yesterday!!!!
Pretty freaking hilarious that you showed a 19 game sample that "fit your narrative" to say he "He hasn't been great for awhile". Then I showed his last 5 starts but that doesn't count? How about no samples to fit "narratives" let's take the whole season. His .917sv% over 59 games would would put him at #9 in the entire NHL this season... despite of the tire fire that was and is our defense. That is great.
Not to memtion Krebs is gonna be a player, that 1st round pick is looking to be around #16 at the moment (doubt buffalo saw the pick being that low) and a 2nd round pick in next year's draft has good value.
