    Do we trade Tanev at the deadline? Or aim to sign him again?

     

    He would be a valuable addition to a cup contender and we would clear up cap space while potentially adding a mid-low 1st rounder or a prospect. Considering it's the trade deadline, the odds of receiving maximum value are high.

     

    I feel like Stecher could fit well with Edler again, and we could give Rafferty a shot, but it's a risk for sure.

      Stecher has struggled in just a 3rd pairing role this season at times.  Putting him in the top 4 might be wishful thinking at this point.  

       

      Sign Tanev to a short-term deal if you can (again, assuming reasonable cap hit).  Pretty hard to replace his minutes.  We ain't that deep on the blueline.
