That's a horrible trade for us.

well we do know that one difference between the laffs

and the nucks (and the avs too, for that matter)

is that the top forwards on the non laff teams attempt to fulfill their defensive responsibilities

responsible and reliable forwards will take pressure off barrie as they will help him and not leave him high and dry on his own so much

that will allow his skill set to fit in better with the other players on this team

after his last year with the avs he was projecting to get a big contract

his year in laff land badly eroded his value

i think he is talented and can regain his previous form

still, moving tanev will weaken the defensive strength of the backend

and could alter things for hughes

to me the risk of impacting hughes amazing development growth in his rookie season makes little sense to me

Tanev is a massive benefit to this team, when healthy.  But the fact that we are exploring a trade makes me wonder A:  What will he cost going forward B:  How confident is management in his health.  Stay tuned!
