My friend was a long time season ticket holder fanatic until recently (just before JB let go), and got turned off finally by the commute, late nights, team not providing entertainment and costs involved to see a team of players not earning their paychecks (she is an owner of over 100 employees herself) and even now has NO interest to watch a Canucks game for free on TV, The fan(atic) in her as a Canuck fan is done, she only enjoys the World Juniors and Olympics now

Am I the only one who thinks a meeting in the middle of a season is the wrong time to hold a STH meeting ? I mean your team is vastly underperforming the fans can see that Do they say we are trying to move everyone and with players knowing this and play even more as individuals to increase their own net worth instead of the team? Saying that publicly would lower the trade value Maybe they are living by the standard, if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing I think they may have something burning in trades now and don't want to jeopardize it ? I still think the meeting should be at seasons end

I don't know about tanking as a plan, but why pay another intern coach when you have all time leading NHL coach on payroll ? (He isn't the problem) The team won't make the playoffs or cup this year, may as well ride it out, we know BB is gone, and they will see character of guys that actually want to win and keep a job with the Canucks. If the players want to be on a winning "team" let them play as one, instead of what looks like individuals, No one blocks or commits with intensity Now that Christmas is over, we may see some action between now and the start of next season (hopefully)

It did nothing to improve this team from the bottom and will keep us from being better I wasn't a fan of it then, but it happened and now we have ro make as little damage to the team correcting what has put us back They are not bad players, they were just the wrong players at the wrong time needed for the price we paid

Agreed If a player on my team was always gung ho and giving it every step of the way and never let up and as a leader expected that from the others, players will overlook and respect that outburst and follow his passionate lead ( Delia is a rookie and looking at his coach for direction and rightly so though) I was disappointed with his reaction after he had time to think it through and could have handled it better, he comes across as a guy who thinks he does nothing wrong (which means he has no desire to improve on it, he is right and already perfect in his mind) Saying you only care about your teammates (which Delia is) and the coach and winning, but when the puck leaves the offensive zone and you can't score and just leave those teammates (you care about) shorthanded because of your casual mope to the bench - Those types of behaviours put together do not inspire players and puts them off and they will tune him out Like Bieska said you can't defend that "passionate" behaviour when you are not just as passionate for helping your teammates defend being scored on time and time again

Hmmm, I wonder if Delia yelled at Miller to quit dragging his ass so slow back to the bench and let a player skate for his teammates like he claims that only matters to him

Making this deal made us so much better in the last 2 years and for years to come and we got to spend money in doing so, while giving up good picks (pro) This has to be right up there with one of the worst trades made though (against) I remember the NHL media saying then how bad this trade was and many here saying they know nothing Looks like media who contradict the Canucks moves are not always wrong They didn't even require hindsight to get this right

I thought I had the game on pvr, but I agree embarrassing a 3rd string goalie who stopped the team from being embarrassed does not look good on team unity. Imagine if our goalies start yelling and freaking at our defence or forwards out of position (not scoring or breaking out early or late) or scorers leaving it to the last minute to win a game

My concern is, if the plan is to trade him and then wait too long for the perfect returns that he gets injured (or other teams make trades and offers dry up) If the plan is to sign him, then sign him If the plan is to trade, get that deal done by the beginning of January , while he is hot and healthy

No, I have seen probably no more than you have, where it was reported that JR has indicated everyone is tradable but EP I see no reason or gain for him to publicly state that though either (other teams would be aware of that in discussions, and maybe where this came from)? Even the great ones get traded if it makes sense though

JR stated Only EP is untradeable Who's to say when they agreed to the new contract that management mentioned that after signing this expensive contract we may have to move you if something comes our way because of the cap and other expensive signings to come (They never signed the new contract retroactive with no trade to guarantee and get lesser $)

I agree and I think Boeser was to be showcased on top line but then he got hurt and his value dropped some, (than if he had started the year with EP tap ins) We may see those 3 and Bo moved and a completely new looking team, (which I am ok with because in 10 years we need change, the only thing that has changed is those 4 players making more money, while the team remains the same)

I remember the 1st show then followed by a triple shot of Most recently playing and excited for the hopefully soon to be released Similar to Steve Martin it has been a Wild and Crazy year of good and bad entertainment from the team
