Luongo_owns_your_soul
The last couple episodes have been good but I hope they end this storyline next week.

BuckyHermit
For the uninitiated, here's the scene that South Park spoofs. Fast forward to around 3:45 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocONUZj2v-k And the song they parodied: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo9dol1NDiQ Whoever has never seen Totoro is missing out on one of the best Japanese films of all time. KoreanHockeyFan
Damn, I knew that part of the episode looked familiar. Just never thought that South Park would make a foreign reference like that. Impressive

Kran
I know that Parker and Stone have a huge interest in Japanese stuff. It's not the first time Totoro's shown up on South Park; the Totoro creature was also seen in the Imaginationland trilogy.
Sharpshooter
Well the Mysterion episode pretty much confirmed who I thought he was all along. It was a pretty good episode, I have to admit. I was cracking up many times. A third part is easily coming next week, with the way they left it off. Cartman is in full form in this episode. Lychees
Totoro reference, EPIC for those who haven't seen it see the 1988 Jap version or the 1993 Fox dub version, the Disney version (no offense to the Fanning girls) have terrible dubs in comparison As soon as he sneezed and Cartman flew off and was still acting cute I KNEW it was Totoro, mainly cause I watched that movie like 2 days beforehand haha
BuckyHermit
lol, I actually got it right away, as soon as Cartman appeared. Japan is still big on Totoro. When I was in Fukuoka, their souvenir shop was absolutely filled with Totoro stuff. They were expensive as hell but very high quality. And then they showed the movie on the ferry ride from Fukuoka to Busan. Totoro seems to be something they're quite proud of.
