avelanch
Also, this is Schroeder's first season playing more than 40 games in a season. that alone takes getting used to.
Guest Dasein
^^^^ That's very true. And this was the first time he's played against men. He'll have to learn how to use his size and skill to his advantage.

avelanch
College has men in it. to a certain extent only. they are certainly more of "men" then WHL players, but the oldest players being in their very early 20's doesn't exactly scream "men", especially the early-mid 20's to late 30's of the AHL. D-Money
I hope that he isn't the type of D-bag player marchand is though Why not? As much as I completely loathe him, I'd loooove to have him on our team. Totally got into our heads. I remember on on the 2nd goal, he had it on the boards, and everybody I was with were screaming at somebody to HIT HIM. But he was allowed to skate around with virtually no resistance. Im sure Canuck management and the coaching staff will make him adjust his attitude if he is giving a shot with the big club. They would probley want Schroeder to buy into the Canucks system. UFCanuck
Two more years. Marchand = 2007 draft pick that debuted this year Schroeder = 2009 draft pick He's 2 years away. Marchand Drafted in 2007, Debuted in the 10-11 season. Schroeder Drafted in 2009, I said he will Debut after another year of developement. That would be the 12-13 season. Simple Math 07-10 = 3 09-12 = 3. He's 1 year of development away.

I was doing Marchand = 2007 + 2 = Schroeder at 2009, but Marchand already played this season. Although his numbers compared to Marchand's in the AHL aren't as impressive. He might end up needing that extra year, especially with our depth.

Canvoucer Vanuck
Schroeder needs another year in the AHL at least. Let's see him really put up numbers first. But by the time the 2012-13 season rolls around I suspect he could be ready for a split season: ~40 games in the AHL, ~40 games in the NHL. Or a 50/30 split. Master 112
No need to rush this guy. The big club should be doing fine without him for awhile, and some more time in the AHL will do him a lot of good.

VancouverStyle
If Schroeder is willing to play on the wing, i think he should spent a little more time in the minors. The team seems to be set at the centre position with Henrik, Ryan, Manny, and Cody with us. Im unsure as to what Mr. Gillis plans to do with Maxim. BowTie
At 5'9" I think he'll be a winger in the NHL. That's a good thing - since we have enough centers in the near future.Maxim will not affect Schroeder's development since he's a 3/4th line guy whereas Jordan will be top 6.
