Any tips on where to sell stuff in Oblivion? I hate selling stuff worth 4000 for 1200 because no one has the cash. Just wondering who has the most money to buy out there so I can get max dollar.

If you have the Vile Lair plugin, at the Wawnet Inn(Right across the bridge from the Imperial city) there is a guy named Rowley Earsomething and he'll sell buy your stuff for 2000 + the 500 you invested in him. Which is the highest anyone will buy things for.

Also if you have the Mage's Tower or Fighter's Stronghold plug-ins, there are merchants in those two that will buy for 2500(with the 500 investment)

I just maxed out all my attributes and it took me just under 40 hours to do so.

He plays the PS3 version, methinks, which has no DLC available whatsoever. So the merchant that has the max gold, at 1500, is Fathis Ules. But that guy is a pain to locate if you play the game long enough. He always gets stuck somewhere in the city and you have to find and "free" him. I like the Sinderion guy in Skingrad because he has Novice Mercantile and the items you sold to him never disappear.

Ditto to Mayor Quimby, train your Mercantile also helps (by selling/buying individual arrows repeatedly for example, lol).

An Expert can invest money in a shop to permanently increase the shop's available gold by 500.

For a Master:

  • All shops in the world have 500 more gold for barter (this is independent of investing in a shop).

Yeah, I play the 5th anniversary on PS3 that's supposed to have everything. The Inn is there, so I am guessing I have the pugins? The guy you told me to talk to wasn't, so I probably have to wait for him or come back. I didn't feel like playing anymore for the day so I saved it there and will try again tomorrow.

I was going to ask if its worth buying/selling arrows to raise it, sounds like it is.

Thanks again for the tips !

Edit: After reading up on it, I found out that Rowley Eardwulf only shows up if I have the pulgin. I guess I don't have it :( I thought 5th anniversary came with everything. I guess it only comes with add ons and not plug ins.

Edit 2: Plug ins not available for PS3 :(

If you wanna earn some cash, potion making is more profitable. It also raises your Alchemy level real quick which means better potions and money. There are farms with free ingredients all over the map:

1. Buy a set of alchemy gear, and always of the best quality for you level.

2. Collect ingredients.

3. Make tons of potions.

4. ???

5. Profit!!!
