Josh Morrissey is a smooth skating offensive defenseman, who will hopefully shape into a Mark Giordano/Keith Yandle mould. Steve Santini is a rare talent, not too many 6'3 200+ lb defensemen can move the puck like him at such a young age. Brendan Shinniman is definitely the steal of the 2013 draft. Sure, he's an overager who has been passed by in the draft a few times, but is also the reigning CHL Player of the Year -- look for him to fight for a roster spot straight out of junior. canucklax Posted August 10, 2012 Share Posted August 10, 2012 Meh, at this point the 2013 draft class isn't overly developed IRL. The best indication of how people did in the draft will come after this CHL/USHL/European league season. I'm sure some picks that were made in the first round will actually go in say the 3rd or 4th round IRL, and some late picks will go in the first round, but as it stands I think Shinnimin is a steal because he can translate to the NHL quite quickly (imo).
