canucksordie
Luongo should be starting. If you're going to make a goalie your starter in game 1, you ride him out the entire series. No excuses.
Special Ed
You have to be an idiot to blame Schneider for losing a one goal game.
Ṣpiderman
Schneider had a great game, but the defensive coverage was a lot better than game 1 and 2, and he should have had the rebound on the game winning goal. Luongo also had two good games, so you can't go with the "hot hand" argument. To be honest, I think this is a mistake by AV. In an elimination game like this I think you've got to go to our vets and starters and allow them to decide the outcome. And there's no outcome where Lu gets back in the net now. If we win, Schneider will stay in. If we lose, the seasons over. Huge slap at Luongo, not allowing him to play in an elimination game is much different than game 3 or game 6 last year. And people can say what they want, but he's a proven franchise goalie who has proven he can compete in the playoffs. If we lose tonight, I hope this is the final nail in AV's coffin. vannuxforlife
Oh and Cory still lost the last game. Luongo was playing better from what I saw. This just sets Schneider up for failure and makes luongo look bad. Stupid move and not going to make a difference since the problems is what's in front of our goalies. Edler0023
Wow, I really thought Luongo would be starting. Kinda feel bad for him ...
inder19
Changing of the guard in net? end of luongo? I wouldn't go that far. Many things could change from now until July1st. Canucks come back win this series with Schneider. He gets hurt or has a bad game so they go to loungo, Loungo plays great and wins a series... Schneider has a bad game tonight? Schneider gets dehydrated and Luongo comes in and gets the win. Playing the 'backup' in a do or die game is ballsy. If this doesn't work and AV gets fired.... I think if Gillis wants to keep Luongo all he has to say is "that was AVs decisions not mine, we want you as our starter" Too many variables as to what will happen in the offseason. For now it is the right move and I think if the Canucks win this one they WILL win game 5. Game 6 will all be in LAs court and will depend on how they show up. If PP doesnt show up again then Who is in net is a moot point.
Canucks fan in chicago
That's the stupidest thing I've ever read. Edit: And I read what I post. Which is rather stupid.

flapjacks
Ugh, this totally sets the precedent for next year. I understand if it was any other game in the series, but this game 4 determines whether or not we stay alive in the post-season. What kind of message does it send Lu if we can't even start him, our number 1, to play in a game that's do or die?
SOB for MVP
IMO, this is a sign that it will be Luongo moving in the offseason.

Bob Loungo
drastic times call for drastic measures, but don't make this a bigger deal than it is. Lou played the first 2. Schneids deserves a second chance considering how well he played in game 3.
MrsCanuck
Feel bad for Lu seeing as he's been great this playoffs and deserves the start. Unfortunate.
Tanev's Smirk
I was half serious though.Luongo needs to know he's the Canucks number one, otherwise his confidence will tank...and we all know what happens when that happens...
AngNMGN99
Mistake! Lu should go to Tampa & give them another Stanley Cup!
Ṣpiderman
And for blaming Lu the same way yeah? And Lu faced more quality shots then Schneids. Lu > Schneider. If u have any hockey sense.
Hobble
Whether Luongo is traded or not, I like this move. At least now, if the outcome is poor, everyone can't blame Luongo.
