Watermelons Posted August 3, 2012 Share Posted August 3, 2012 Since when was two shutouts in the Stanley Cup Finals series an "epic fail"....how could you not put any blame on the forwards/defence, you do realize that Luongo is NOT the only guy who gets paid to do his job on our team right? Just as you mentioned when one player goes down, the others who have chemistry together will also be off their game. Hamhuis, Rome and Raymond weren't playing, Kesler, Henrik, Ehrhoff, Edler and many others were playing injured. Their games were ALL not up to standards in the playoffs yet you put all the blame on Luongo because he got blownout in a three games? Really? I'm sure that Luongo is used to working TOGETHER with the forwards/defence so they can prevent pucks from going in, and when they were all playing injured, it is a bit difficult for them to finish their task giving Luongo more trouble (defence out of position, forwards not backchecking in time). Also many of the Bruins goals came off unexpected turnovers from our d-men, Blame Luongo for that right? I mean, why didn't he stop the turnovers? He must be an overrated choker... Also, since when was winning the Art Ross Trophy "Above-average"? What about scoring 18 points in 18 games?? Those are the accomplishments Henrik did WITHOUT DANIEL in the lineup, yet you call it "above-average"...Seems legit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The other series losses sure weren't all Lu. Yeah, LA won. We didn't. Yup. Um, yeah. Kesler had an off year. He could get better. Yup. Blah, blah, blah, more Cody-Kassian stuff. Can we now get a lil excited on what might happen this year? Seems to me that MG is still working towards the best possible team he can ice and is willing to do what is best for us now as well NOT selling out for later. MG got handed a skilled team but definately not a tough skilled team and he's been TRYING to improve that with salary cap issues like anyone else so finally i think he's as close as ever depending on what happens with Lou. No the sky isn't falling, nor will it anytime soon since MG isn't willing to sell the future of the entire franchise for years to come just to win it ONE year. Thank the Good Lord for that. thing is we consistantly have gotten better and i see it improving year by year even mr. stanley shows up here, we'll still always will be competitive and have great hockey to watch. But we are blaming Lou for the amount of and the type of goals that go by him, not just against Boston but his other fails in past play off series as well. Remeber back to when Lou played Dallas in probably the best goaltending showdown i can remember then facing the ducks and Lou was the only reason we were in the series......Then in overtime in Lou like fashion lets a week shot from behind the blue line in through his flimsy legs.Series over.
