Malm was drafted by the Giants in the second round (44th overall) of the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. The Langley native, played 56 games with the Burnaby Winter Club Bantam A1-T1 of the Pacific Coast Bantam "A" Hockey League. The 5'8", 161lbs forward had 144 points (70 goals, 74 assists) in the 56 games with the Burnaby Winter Club. "I am honoured to have signed with my hometown team, the Giants," said Malm. Vancouver got Max Gildon in the 3rd round from Plano Texas..they say if they can talk him into playing here..he has all the tools to be a #1 draft pick. I think every nhl hockey team will be keeping an eye on benson .. This guy is special and the giants are gonna be scary . their D was a little suspect but boy can they fly .
