Our most consistent player, best clutch player and he's on the bench to start the game. AV and Canuck fans, you deserve this for the way you've treated Lu. You wanted Schneider to start, you got it. Mark my words, if Luongo is traded this team isn't making the playoffs next season. He's the only reason this team is winning the NW division. That's obv still not our biggest concern. Offense is. This team needs a new voice, shake up, etc etc. I love AV and don't mind Gillis, but if many of the major players and all of this coaching staff/management is back in Sept/Oct, next year will be just like the last two years, and even worse. This year can't blame the goalies and if the team doesn't get some young talent to effectively contribute to the team soon then dark times are ahead as this team ages. At the very least, he could perhaps get them to play with some emotion. Talk about a team that is playing like they've tuned out the coaches!!!!! Only a team that has lost hope in its system and ability to compete could so completely disappear. THe other glaring problem is having a team who's offence is built around soft, perimeter players. That will not get it done in the NHL. The Nucks are lucky they faced SJS first and not St Louis. The carnage would have resembled the Roman Coliseum!!
