Gonchar, 39, played in 186 regular-season games with the Senators over three seasons, recording 15 goals, 76 assists and 101 penalty minutes. Lonny_Bohonos_14
@TSNBobMcKenzie: DAL acquires Sergei Gonchar from OTT for conditional 6th round pick. I would expect Gonchar to sign extension with Stars but has KHL offer. I don't see why Gonchat would sign with Dallas. Unless he gets term that he wouldn't get elsewhere (ie KHL). That said. If he's in it for $$ go K. If he wants to win, why go to Dallas?

Guest
Trades are allowed and can be done, but if you are the Bruins/Penguins/Kings/Blackhawks, then acquired player can't play in the playoffs.

cmpunk
Any player signed or traded after the deadline can't play in the playoffs, but transactions can still occur.
TheRussianRocket.
Looks like he'll be signing in the KHL as Ottawa has gave away his rights, unless if Dallas offer $5.5 mill+....KHL is offering 6 mill and that'd be a number he'd take to finish off his career here. ...also, misleading title.. Sidney Crosby.
Dallas loves getting those guys in the later half of their career (Jagr, Whitney, Cole, Gonchar, etc.). Not sure if I see Gonchar signing with the Stars though
