Primal Optimist
The New York Rangers Three Stars: December FIRST STAR Eddie Lack Eddie Lack was acquired on just the 6th of December and stepped into the backup role here in a big mainstream way. With his starter injured shortly after the trade that brought him here, he has not lost in regulation since he put on our sweater! 3 regulation wins, a SO win, a SO loss and 2 shutouts!! 65 points from the backup goalie from Dec 6 to 31 is enough to win First Star honours! SECOND STAR ANDRE SEKERA Andre was yet again outstanding and with 78 points in December you would imagine more than just his two Penalty Minutes, or even more than 2 goals, but Mr. Sekera earned his second monthly star of the season with plus10, 5 power play assists, 8 even strength assists and a PP goal. Proving to be one of the best offseason additions to any team, the Rangers are very happy with Andre Sekera's results! THIRD STAR Thomas Vanek With 71 pool points this month, Thomas Vanek is proving he is fully recovered from Novembers upper body injury that held him out for just over a week. This guy is picking up where he left off last year when he was a top 20 scorer in the league. It is no surprise that a healthy Vanek will be in the Three Stars more often than not. Honourable Mentions to Joe Thornton, and Jarome Iginla who were neck and neck for 3 star considerations as well

Primal Optimist
^ sorry not intended, I remember I traded with you for Sekera, and even I didn't think he would have so many points. It isn't from goals though, which is worrying me a little. But we will see if he keeps it up.

BlueShirt Banter week 1 volume 1 With an ominous trade still unannounced by the league, but leaks everywhere, the Rangers projected lineup is set to look like this going forward in the new year: Vanek, Thornton, Iginla Hudler, Stajan, ********** Malone, Backlund, Bernier Joensuu, ******, Skille Bordeleau Sekera, Salo Meszaros, Muzzin ***********, Klein Larsen, Bortuzzo Smith Lack The three asterisks will undoubtedly be new roster players as will be announced shortly. This has been a presentation of Blueshirt Banter.
Caboose
Minnesota Wild Stars of the Month 1st star: Martin Brodeur Brodeur continues his stellar play of late and cements his place as the best goalie ever. He added 85 pool points in December aiding Minnesota's surge to 8th. 2nd star: Corey Perry Perry is having an excellent season and December was no exception, he added 81 pool points this past month. 3rd star: Andrew Macdonald Macdonald has rocketed up the Wild depth chart, now playing with Andrei Markov on the first pairing some nights. His 68 pool points in December were a nice surprise. Sorry for no formatting, posting from iPad.

Primal Optimist
Waivers: Jeremy Welsh assigned to Utica and so the Rangers waive him for the purposes of assigning him to the Connecticut Whale. Anyone claim Welsh? If you know someone put in a claim, can you post "I think someone claimed him" so that I can move forward, lol....might be a while till Curt gets to it and i am knee deep in trade talks.... arby18_
Montreal Canadiens 3 Stars for December 1st Star - Erik Johnson - Our #1 defender proved why he is a pillar from which our team is built around this month, as he led the team with 61 pool points and that included only 4 PIM. 2nd Star - Dylan Olsen - The young defender who came over along with Reto Berra in a pretty major deal on Dec. 2 made a big splash after arriving in Montreal, as he added 58 pool points and that included only 2 PIM. 3rd Star - Erik Cole - The wily veteran had a fantastic month for the Habs, adding 57 pool points with only 2 PIM's as well. His 8 goals led the team in December, and his play helped alleviate some of the pressure from all of our injuries. Honorable Mentions - Valterri Filppula, Brent Burns, Evgeni Nabokov, Dmitry Kulikov and Rick Nash all had 40 or more points, which is pretty impressive considering Burns, Nash and Nabokov missed most of the month. Sergei Bobrovsky
Nashville Predators 3 Stars of December 1st Star: Saku Koivu- This month was probably Saku's best month of the season. Saku has tallied shorthanded points, an overtime goal/game winning goal. Tallying up to 5 goals and 5 assists, with the addtion of plus 10 in the month of December. Totaling up to 68 fantasy points. He did all of this coming of a recent injury. The only thing that the veteran has to do now is to try his best to keep this consistent. 2nd Star: Mike Santorelli- Mike so far has shown that he can be a consistent top 6 forward. Netting 3 goals and 7 assists with a +9 earns him 50 fantasy points. Mike posting up another good month of hockey earns him the 2nd star of December. 3rd Star: Clarke MacArthur- We received Clarke in a trade for offensive help up front. We know and believe that he will bring much needed offensive to our lineup and he has done exactly that. Tallying up a total of 67 fantasy points. But expect more by Clarke, as he has an important role offensively for our team ever since he got here.

Azzy Mahmood
Definitely claimed. Gutted that I missed that post. Although to be fair, it's not like it was the easiest of posts to read - it doesn't mention waivers until halfway through
Azzy Mahmood
Also does anyone pick up on posts like mine, where I said I should have had 2pts for Brian Gibbons? Not sure what happens in that scenario.
Primal Optimist
Gutted that I missed that post. Although to be fair, it's not like it was the easiest of posts to read - it doesn't mention waivers until halfway through The Very first word is not only RED but bold faced type as welll and it reads WAIVERS, so I don't know what you are talking about. The word waivers appears twice in the sentence and it is the only idea being discussed in the post. ?? What I hate is people who post their lineup, some info about a good scorer and then somewhere in the Too Long Didn't Read book report they waive a player they want to keep. Anyways, if you look again you will find that it is a very clear waiver notice.
