It's a process
Vancouver receives: Brian Boyle and a 3rd round pick in 2014. New York receives: Jordan Schroeder Canucks get a huge 6'7 center for their 3rd line.... Rangers get an undersized but decent prospect in Schroeder that has the potential to be a Derek Roy type player. NYR also gets some cap relief to help sign Stepan. -------------------------------- Canucks sign Filip Kuba, 1 mil for 1 year. -------------------------------- CAPGEEK.COM USER GENERATED ROSTER My Custom Lineup FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($4.500m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Chris Higgins ($2.500m) / Brian Boyle ($1.700m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Dale Weise ($0.750m) / Brad Richardson ($1.150m) / Mike Santorelli ($0.550m) Tom Sestito ($0.750m) / DEFENSEMEN Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) Alexander Edler ($5.000m) / Jason Garrison ($4.600m) Andrew Alberts ($0.600m) / Chris Tanev ($1.500m) Filip Kuba ($1.000m) / Yannick Weber ($0.650m) GOALTENDERS Roberto Luongo ($5.333m) Eddie Lack ($0.750m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $64,103,333; BONUSES: $0 CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $196,667 In the ballpark or am I totally off? canuck_forever
You aren't off at all... We're getting bigger and tougher, but at the same time we're taking a roster spot away from a young player. Good proposal.
Plum
Nice proposal but we could probably get a better depth defensemen or forward than Kuba.

CanucksFanMike
This is pretty good value wise and fills a need for us so you are already doing better than 99% of all other proposals on CDC, but, I don't really see a fit for Schroeder in New York. Plus, I don't think they would be too keen on giving up Boyle. The Rangers would probably decline.
Drouin
value wise, very good.
Pears
Value wise its definetly one of the better proposals as of late.
Nuxin07
While I like Brian Boyle, JT is not the biggest fan of this guy. He was a healthy scratch for Torts multiple times last season (I believe it was four times) and Boyle struggled to find ice time and a way out the dog house/4th line most nights. Shinkaruk_9
Disagree strongly. If we are willing to give Schroeder back to AV and the rags why not ask for a little bit more than a career bottom tier player? Schroeder has 60 pt annual potential. I'd say Boyle and a 1st, OR Boyle and a 2nd in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Needs to be balance...
CaNuCkSLoUiE23
Boyle would be the perfect fit on our team. Would need to work on his speed though.
