UFCanuck
John Tavares 5.5 per. Kadri has proven more and he still got a bridge deal.
BlueShark
What a joke of a contract, imo. Kid isn't even finished his ELC and he's getting $6 million a year? He may be good - but injury prone. Like others have said on different sites, a bridge contract would have been better. Yikes. This is going to harm Edm more than help, imo. They better hope the cap goes up next year, or they are screwed to sign other players (yakupov & J. Shultz, I'm looking at you) who I'm sure are now going to demand the same amount of money. Trebreh
This is why its a dream to be a hyped up player and drafted by the Loilers. Probably a big reason why Schultz signed there too. All you need is 'potential' and a little flashy plays and you're going to earn a big raise.
BabychStache
18m for a top line able to put up 240+pts isn't that bad really.
Papayas
Wow wtf is with the hate of rnh here? 6 million isn't much for a player like him. He had a slower season last season but its normal to see that happen on younger players. Just watch him becoming a ppg player this season The contract wasn't cheap, but it's not outrageous either. I am actually glad to are the oilers securing their first overall picks
