Pros

-Kassian had some really good spurts. Booth too (to a lesser extent). If they can turn that into sustained effort....

-Santorelli still looks great (even when no one else was going)

-Tanev and Stanton look solid together.

-we OWNED the first two periods (last four minutes after the own goal notwithstanding)

-Price looked amazing for the first two periods otherwise we would've had that

-Luongo played good for the first two periods.

-Tostitos actually looked fairly good this game, if he can play like that all year MAYBE i wont totally hate him.

Bad stuff

-Oh my god.

-That Third period was atrocious in almost every single way.

-Hamhuis had a disgusting game. Moving on.

=Richardson wasn't noticeable often and when he was is was bad. Just seemed sloppy (mind you most did in the third)

-That second PP unit needs to change. Needs some kind of life. I know Kesler hasn't been doing much this season but maybe throw him down to the second unit and see if that does... anything...

-Montreal fans jeering our goalie. <---- gotta think Lu is gonna kill it next game.

-goddamn refs

That missed penalty on the delay of game was the final nail in the coffin. Any energy the team still had was killed when on that play and the subsequent pk.

Yes,

And Schneider would be an upgrade over Luongo.

And it would have nice is one of the first round picks from 2 to 4 years ago was able to help the team. Instead we have Schroeder, no pick (due to the terrible Ballard trade), and Jensen (who may still be good but was disappointing in camp this year before being injured).

MG's record is looking pretty bad at this stage.

Say what you want about Kassian but at least when he's on the ice he finishes his checks, lost count of how many times a nuck player would skate in and wave a stick at the puck and skate off.

There really is no skill beyond maybe 10 players on the entire roster right now, most of the time the players are just waving stick like peewee players, can't connect more than 2 passes in the same sequence, can't connect the first pass without bobbling the puck, shooting from the outside all the time because nobody will drive the net, trying to shoot/pass through players.

why is no one ever in position for a rebound when you can obviously read what's going to happen, defense will shoot low and hard, and our players are always on the same side of the ice as the shooter and the puck goes to the boards on the opposite side and play is over.

Also noticed that word is out how to beat the canucks defense, drive wide, wait for the collapse and hit the trailing player, San Jose has burned us many times on plays like that, and Habs were doing it tonight.

too early in the season for a write off, but if the players are trying to push Torts for a rage, keep playing like they are and we'll see one.
