Gillis trades booth to any team for a 7th round pick if no teams go for that then buy him out next possible time sestito waivers
Dr.Strangelove
We give up way too much and we have no guarantee that Callahan re-signs with us. I like Callahan but IMHO its not worth giving anything substantial up unless we knew he would resign in Vancouver.
Phil_314
He's not the type of player we need, since our roster already has several hard-working, two-way, character guys (Burr, Kes, Higgins, Hansen, to name a few) in our top 9. If we're trading Edler I think it should be for a higher-end offensive player, of which we don't have on our roster if their name isn't Sedin. RyanKeslord17
Callahan with Kesler would be lethal
elvis15
Why do we give up more in the deal and why does NY need another D-man?

We need some offensive finess in the lineup
mau5trap
The thought of having Callahan on our team makes me drool. Yeah we have similar players, but you never turn away from a guy like that. He does it all.

We've never had more then 2-3 superstars. It's about depth and players just outplaying other teams, grind em out hockey.

Nuxfanabroad
edler schroeder, 2014 1st for Eller, Diaz, 2014 3rd Don't know much about Diaz, but for OUR first I'd want their 2014 AND 2015 2nd rounders. Looking at capgeek, doesn't work for Mtl, anyways(lack of cap-room)
BlueLemming
I would say we have a pretty strong chance at signing him in the off season. Callahan might want to be back with torts and on a winning team, since NYR is going downhill and not with the help of AV. Course, Callahan could actually like playing with AV,I wouldn't really know. I haven't been watching them that much.
