ftmN
Berra on his NHL debut looks like he'll be a solid starter for Calgary, 44 saves, SV%: .955 against Chicago, MacDonald was reassigned to Abbotsford. “This guy was probably the biggest free agent in the Swiss League and he didn’t even sign any contracts over there, [or] any deals. His mindset was to play in the NHL. He came here for a reason, and that’s why he’s in [this] game.” Berra, acquired by Calgary in the trade that sent defenseman Jay Bouwmeester to the St. Louis Blues last season, made 42 saves on Sunday night in 3-2 victory in overtime against the high-powered Blackhawks at United Center. A day after being called up from Abbotsford of the American Hockey League, the 26-year old kept the high-powered Blackhawks at bay most of the game, including no goals allowed on 18 shots in the first period. http://www.nhl.com/g...id=nhl:topheads Anyone know anymore about this guy? http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8473499
D-Money
First game, nobody has a book on him. We'll see how he does when the scouts start to study him. See: Andrew Raycroft, Jim Carey, etc...
DeNiro
Another Martin Gerber type most likely.
oldnews
Nice performance - and the Flames are earning some respect with their hard work. Usually have an official Flames thread in Gen Disc - I guess their fans are having a hard time sustaining - but they're actually off to a better than usual start. Lychees
1 game, we'll see how he performs down the stretch but looked good in net. Flames doing surprisingly well
LuckyLuciano
All I was able to gather was that he played on a team with Patrick Kane and Tyler Seguin in the Swiss-A league. They love him in Europe..curious to see how he adjusts to the North American game..
DW23
He used to be the back up behind Hiller in Davos. Then played amazing in Biel (with Patrick Kane). I think he is a good goalie and no one hit wonder but who knows. He is a big guy so different than Gerber. Good butterfly. If he can keep his cool, he will be Nr 1 for CGY (which is not that hard with Ramo/MacDonald)
