[Proposal] A rebuild

Recommended Posts

Trade #1: (Brought up on Hfboards and agreed upon by some Sens fans)

Mika Zibanejad and Curtis Lazar for Alex Edler + 3rd round pick

Mika and Curtis would make sure the Sedins are very easily replaced in the future. This gives the Canucks a very solid forward group going forward with many guys who could turn out to be top 6 forwards.

Edler gets to play in a up and coming team who's likely to be a contender in a year or so. He would be a huge boost on the back end playing with Karlsson.

Trade #2: Ryan Kesler for Travis Hamonic and Kirill Kabanov

A young d-man who's as good as Tanev defensively but with a lot more offensive upside and a nice winger prospect for Ryan Kesler, a 1B center who's almost 30. This would help the Sens for another 10 years and really up their chances of making the playoffs. Hamonic and Kabanov would give a huge boost to the Canucks' future.

Kesler gets to play 1-2 punch behind a stud center or on his wing and gets to possibly play with line mates such as Vanek, Grabner, Okposo, and even Tavares.

Trade #3: Alex Burrows, Tom Sestito to the Habs for Collberg.

They get a country man to help their team now and a solid 4th liner who brings some grit for a decent winger prospect who could be a 2nd liner in the future.

Team in a few years:

L Stanley your proposals are so ???? one sided lol.

well you just want to give up A former Selke winner who currently has 10 goals, can play a shut down role and would be Columbus' best player?

imagine if the islanders had 1C Tavares, 2C Kesler....that helps them a lot!!!

Edler would also be the best D man on the Islanders

Burrows is a two way player - and don't you think he would bring it even more if he played in his home province...lol he would be beloved by MTL

I def like some of the young guys that we'd have for the future. It certainly depletes us right now though. Frees up lots of salary cap as well. I really like the 1st trade. Like hamonic too! It balances our $ from the D to the O as well. The more I look at these trades, the more I like em lol. We'd sure have a good team in a few years that's for sure. Heck lets do it! Get on the phone!
