Sorry when you say poking the bear it kind of upsets me because every religion is made fun of in the westerner world. Just look at the amount of turban jokes sikhs endured, hindus, chirstians, etc I guess to an extend you can say they did poke the bear, but I don't know that's like I don't know. I'm just upset at the moment. I get what you're trying to say, but I put islam in a different bracket then other religions solely because of the high number of extremists linked to that religion. Islam is not the only one for sure but NO other religion has been attacked as Islam has especially in the last few years. I rememeber the first time cartoons were published, Muslims around the world protested and boycotted a lot of European/western stuff. No one was brutally murdered, now if you do the same thing again and again something like this is more LIKELY to happen. Are we just going to ignore what's happening in Uganada Nigeria and nairobi where Christian governments are jailing or executing gay and lesbian couples? Are we just going to ignore what is happening in Protestant areas of Ireland where women and some minorities have less rights than animals? I mean really the mayor and over 80k people in Calgary are muslims. Who have they killed? The Muslim community in vancouver is over 100k strong, who have they killed again? I am simply someone who demands you get it right before intentionally inflaming and entire forum with such nonsense A big problem with your post is that, and i'm not adhering to it, people like to generalize all sorts of groups. Your right in that we shouldn't put peaceful Muslims with Islamists and radicals. Unfortunately, it is also believed that among Muslims are silent supporters of the religion's drastic measures. And while they are VERY few and far between, the fact is these kinds of people do exist, and the rest of society is fearful that may be "near" your community. I'm not condoning ostracization of all Muslims here in the West but rather i'm just trying to say why other people are so hostile towards them. The overreactive zealots spouting off negative nonsense about Muslims are beyond ridiculous though. The controversy is because she wore a hijab in one of her scenes, not that she is a pornstar of Muslim descent. lol so the question becomes can this also out-rage the "Muslim community" and cause them to do a extreme act like today's.
