For those players who just did not have a good season (it's like the NHL/CDC version of the Razzies).

Welcome to the 2015 NHL UnAwards Voting Session! Have fun voting and discussing! The winners (or losers?) will be posted on July 1.

This year's awards include:

LVP Award: This award goes to the Least Valuable Player as voted by the users of CDC.

Ken McAuley Award: This award, named after the worst starting goalie in NHL history, goes to the goalie who did the worst job during the 2014-15 as voted by the users of CDC.

Jason Doig Award: This award, named after the second-worst NHL defender in NHL history (the worst is Wade Belak - RIP), goes to the defender who just did not do his job during the 2014-15 season as voted by the users of CDC.

Ned Harkness Award: This award, named after one of the worst coaches in NHL history, goes to the worst coach over the 2014-15 season as voted by the users of CDC.

The Sacko: This award, named after the trophy for worst overall in the TV series The League, goes to the worst team over the 2014-15 season as voted by the users of CDC.

Bill Mikkelson Award: Awarded to the player with the worst +/- rating over the 2014-15 season.

Scott Gordon Award: Awarded to the goalie with the worst S% over the 2014-15 season.

Dave Schultz Award: Awarded to the player who spent the most time in the penalty box over the 2014-15 season.

Fan Nominated Awards:

Mark Messier Award: This award, named after one of the most underwhelming players according to their contract in NHL history, goes to the most disappointing player with the biggest contract during the 2014-15 season.

Candidates include Alex Semin (CAR), Phil Kessel (TOR), and Dion Phaneuf (TOR).

Eric Lindros Award: This award goes to the player who is voted by CDC as most entitled over the course of the 2014-15 season.

Candidates include Ryan O'Reilly (COL), Milan Lucic (BOS), and Evander Kane (BUF).

Kevin Hayes Award: This award, named after the worst face-off man in the NHL during the 2014-15 season (min. 100 faceoffs taken), is awarded to the worst face-off man in the NHL during the 2014-15 season.

Good idea. I only have room for five polls though. Maybe next year?

Gorges was 21st in shot blocks. He's not a great offensive defenseman and had the pleasure of playing on the worst team in the league. His numbers were bad because he relies on defensive numbers and he was one of the only good defensive players on the team.

I think you need a polar opposite to the Masterton award for the most entitled attitude in the NHL.

Who would win that?

Lucic.

lol. ROR would probably win, due to his reputation for negotiating hard. His nickname is O'Money, after all.

That too. Johansen negotiated pretty hard too.

/agree
