Byron's hearing was scheduled for Thursday. Financial terms were not released, but Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported the contract is worth $900,000. Byron scored six goals and 19 points in 57 games with Calgary last season. He has 17 goals and 48 points in 138 NHL games. 420since1974 Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Byron is great on the PK, lots of breakaways, too bad he keeps hitting the posts. Seriously though, he is a natural center that can play at all 3 forward positions on the 4th line. In a pinch, he can move up to the 3rd line, but he's just as likely to be eating popcorn in the press box. A depth player at a decent price.
