To CBJ.png.d34b3375d1d64490aca5885a7e2390a5.png @Tylez: David Rittich, Future Considerations

To SJS.png.58b6d7e01db2823bf91853e837754801.png @_arby_18: Mads Sogaard, Sonny Milano, CJ Suess

Future Considerations:

If Rittich plays less than 30 games for any reason other than injury in 19-20 season then SJS 3rd 2021 transfers to CBJ.

If he plays less than 30 and it is due to injury, the FC is void.

Thanks to @_arby_18 for this deal. These negotiations were ongoing for a bit and we both decided to ramp it up today. Very happy to add a bonafide starter to the fold in Rittich. He is still younger too do fits in with the core plan for now and the future. We hope to get him locked up tonight or tomorrow to a long term deal

Thanks to @Tylez for the lengthy trade talks here. It tooks some time, but it finally came together today. We felt that David Rittich deserved more net then he was going to receive here in San Jose with Devan Dubynk already holding down the fort, and with Samuel Montembeault entering the NHL this season too we felt that a change needed to be made. We wish David well in Columbus.

As for our return, we were hoping that Mads Sogaard was going to drop to us in the EKL draft last month but didn't reach our first seleciton at pick 55, so we're very excited to have him join our organization. We are hopeful that Sonny Milano can find a role in the NHL level this coming season, and also think that CJ Suess has a shot to be a player too.

But after all is said and done, we now have a number of players ready to compete for our 23-man roster this fall, while being cap compliant. This move needed to be made to ensure that.

Willing to pay up for a good top 4 defensemen or two - Formenton/Balcers/Koivula/Howden/Aho among the most notable available. All other prospects available too, as well as draft picks.

Also could be willing to swap one of my bottom 6 forwards for a defensemen of the same calibre.

The Ducks are getting their roster ready for the 2019/2020 season but are always looking to get younger.  We are looking for younger F and D that are either just starting in the NHL or are projecting to be solid NHLers in the next couple of years.  Always available to review trade options that could be mutually beneficial.

The MTL.png.8cf374fa7c1cc4e18dca24a95b62484f.png @Habs4Life have re-signed:

Scott Laughton - 2 years x 2.6M (1.3M AAV)

Adam Erne - 2 years x 2.2M (1.1M AAV)

Chandler Stephenson - 2 years x 1.6M (0.800M AAV)

We are happy to get these young RFA players signed to solid deals that give them raises while keeping our cap in line. We are expecting them to be ready to compete for spots on our NHL team this fall.
