Anyone arguing the Orcas relevance to BC and the Coast is straight up bananas. Orcas are from all over the world sure, doesn't mean we can love the animal and relate to it. They are the Apex predator of the entire ocean, nothing can compete with them, not even great whites... that's a pretty cool symbol. those are the facts... but keep arguing "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!! A marine mammal? 1

.Naslund
Stick in the rink is literally one of the most unimaginative, simple and boring logos out there. Sure its clean, but it literally has two elements to it. Its essentially a dumbed down version of the Habs logo with zero history. Thr Johnny canuck logo would literally be the only logo with a human in the entire NHL (and one of few in pro sports actually), and in today's political climate and makeup of Vancouver, how many people other than the few rapid supporters would want to wear a jersey with a bearded Caucasian man on it. This leaves us with our orca.

He could be Aboriginal or bi-racial for all we know. Matter of fact, a Johnny Canuck logo can be redesigned throughout the year on merchandise celebrating festive holidays and different cultures throughout the year.
