The league has always treated the Canucks with indifferense. I think that has affected the Canucks in that the players know they will get the worst of most calls. Is that why they were spouting how they were going to be a fast and skilled team. They didn't want to be tough. Well guess what hockey is a tough nasty game it needs tough guys as well as skill and speed .

I agree that they likely didn't have a leg to stand on (sorry, bad pun) for the takedown. They should add something in that you can't pick up the player, especially by the legs, during a fight as it is a dangerous move.

 

I think the only thing they really could have gone after Nurse for was the bit in front of the benches with the slash, cross check, and punch. Likely only enough for a fine, but still, something needing to be done there.

Annoyed with myself for clicking on this thread. The league is such a piece of %^&*. They never fail to show it every single year. Sucks to be a Canuck
