[proposal] Three way deal between Canucks, Coyotes, and Devils

Recommended Posts

An alternate suggestion:

Keep Petey but still commit to a Hughes/Chychrun/prospects three-way type deal:

Canucks receive:

-Chychrun

Devils receive

-Hughes

Coyotes receive

-Klimovich

-Woo

-MacEwen

-Ty Smith

-Kevin Bahl

Canucks updated roster:

Miller-Pettersson-Boeser

Hoglander-Horvat-Garland

Pearson-Dickinson-Podkolzin

Motte-Sutter-Highmore

Gadjovich

Chychrun-Myers

OEL-Poolman

Rathbone-Hamonic

Schenn

Demko

Halak

Yeah just had a look.   Both NJ and Van would be giving up *way* too many prospects.  Glaring oversight on my part.   I'm just trying to figure out a scenario where AZ would actually be willing to give up Chychrun.

To NJ:

-Hughes

To Van:

-Chychrun

To AZ:

-Bahl

-Smith

-Klimovich

Something like that?

IMO......which is not worth a pinch of salt

I think that something like

Bahl, Hoglander and Smith, starts to move the needle......but it is hard, when you are giving back pieces......in saying that, I think that is about what you would start at.

IMO, Klimovich, is not a high enough prospect yet ( aka, no one around the league has really seen him play.)

To make this a lot simpler.   Just trade QHs to ARI for Chychrun, and add whatever else is needed to make it work.   ARI for sure will want something equally as enticing for the fan base back - this should do it almost on its own, unless real dollars hold them back.    They might want Hoglander too, i'm not sure,  but it seems like a more direct way to get a deal done.

The Vancouver Coyotes:

Was just thinking the same thing this morning.  Assuming that we are without Hamonic,

Chychrun-Myers

OEL-Poolman

Rathbone-Demers

Schenn

*might* be passable.  With the presence of Chychrun, you could now justifiably play Myers on a top pairing since Chychrun’s defensive acumen would likely be enough to compensate for Myers’ pinches and occasional defensive gaffes (which is also one reason why putting Myers with OEL or Quinn wouldn’t be a good idea).

1) Quinn, Juolevi, and a 2nd for Chychrun

2) Benning brings in Jason Demers at 700K

Might be passable.  The Vancouver Coyotes defense.  :-p
