The Kings are very pleased to add Sebastion Aho (D) and Mattias Janmark to our NHL squad, and also Leo Loof into our organization as young d-man that we had on our list of overagers to draft in each of the past two entry drafts.

We feel that these free-agent signings provide us much needed organizational depth, and we are so excited to put the pieces together in training camp this fall and see how our new-look Kings perform.

-----------------

Assignment: The Kings assign Noah Gregor to Palm Springs.

Recall: The Kings recall Mattias Janmark to the NHL roster.

Maple Leafs are pretty satisfied with the pieces we acquired in the first waive of free agent deals. We feel we added 3 pieces that could really help put this team over the top over the next 3 years. There is some risk involved with Toews as he contemplates retirement, or chasing a cup, but we feel he will take atleast 1 more stab at a cup run. Hopefully 2. The dream scenerio for us would be to see him as an Oiler or Devil this fall. The other 2 players (Lucic & Lind) will undoubtedly provide some much needed bottom 6 production over the next 2-3 years. Though Lind may start the year in the AHL, we feel he'll quickly get his shot, and run with it.

Come playoff time (assuming Toews signs) we expect to have all 3 producing for us in the postseason. Bottom 6 production is truly what killed our cup dreams last year, and we are making sure that's not the case again next year. We see the potential in this club, and these next 3 years is our window with McDavid. As much as I would like to keep McDavid on board after his current deal expires, there's this thing called a salary cap that will make it difficult.

That makes this off-season very important. We only have 3 cracks before we have to take a small step back. However, we feel we are well prepared for that moment with our current prospect pool. Our goal is to win atleast 1 GML cup in the next 3 seasons, but also remain among the top teams after McDavid is likely (hopefully not) gone. We are officially after the GML consecutive playoff berth record, because we don't plan to do a full blown rebuild again!

Devils sign 20 year old forward prospect Ty Voit!

The New Jersey Devils have agreed to term with up and coming forward prospect Ty Voit. The young forward who plays either wing has steadily seen his production climb while in the OHL. The 20 year old was second in the OHL in scoring in the 22/23 season amassing 105 points and leading the league in assists with 81. The native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania is slated to join the Atlantic city Devils this upcoming season and start on his development path at the professional level. Middletown Native James van Riemsdyk Skates To A Quick Start in the National Hockey League.

New Jersey native James van Riemsdyk comes back home!

The New Jersey Devils put pen to paper with veteran winger and New Jersey native James van Riemsdyk as Free Agency season gets underway. Playing over 940 NHL games to date and producing 591 points, the veteran is in line to hit some milestones this season in what could be one of his last as his career winds down. Far removed from his 30 goal and 60 point campaigns where he was with our organization previously, James can still be an effective player for us in our bottom six group. Potting 15 goals and 30 points should not be a reach. Welcome back home James, the Devils organization is thrilled to bring you back for one more year!
