[DEBATE] Which player is the greatest disappointment in Vancouver Canucks history?

I think the two obvious ones are Hodgson and Virtanen. Being high draft picks both had pretty high expectations and neither one really did much. 
 

Eriksson coming off a 30 goal season and then becoming a disaster here is hard to ignore. 
 

Messier is a tough one to say because he didn’t play horribly while he was here for a guy of his age. But he was also kind of a team killer for a guy that was supposed to be a leader so it’s a fair assessment to put him on the list.

Micheal Ferland should not be on this list as he had concussion problems, if he was healthy he was supposed to be a top 6 option for the Canucks. Messier and Schroeder jump out at me, also someone not on the list,  Emerson Etem

There's a reason why his contract wasn't insured (serious medical issues).  Give a guy a one year deal?  Sure.  But a multi-year deal?  Not that smart (imho).  Etem was acquired for a bust Gillis pick & late round pick.  He's *WAY* down the list of disappointment players (imho).

It has to be Messier.  He was signed to be the last piece for a cup.  They didn't even make the playoffs with him here.
