you could always combine curling with ice fishing, but the curling rink may not appreciate you cutting hole on their ice sheets. have you ever tried ballroom or square dancing? then there is always, the bingo game. 

@Baer. I've thought about it. Running's also miserable when it's -20 and there's icy patches everywhere
