  1. They need to just take it out of circulation. The onus isn’t on Cole.
  2. For defense, Sam Dickinson, and Charlie Elick are some guys I’ve pretty high on this and are potential 1st rounders. Buium, Kiviharju, and Jiricek I expect to go top 15. overall some really good defenseman in this draft.
  3. Guelph GM compared Alriksson to Alexei Toropchenko, 4th rounder taken in 2017 by the Blues. Says he sees similarities to him back when he has Alexei at Guelph. Would be huge for his development to play in the CHL if he’s going to be returning back to the J20 league in Sweden anyway. This is a project pick that I’ll be very interested in. 6’6 forwards are rare, especially at 18. Just so raw. He already moves good in the limited highlights from development camp. Good straight line speed as well. Love these types of picks in the later parts of the draft.
  4. You can probably make a sick expansion team with those guys
  5. Tier 1: Willander Podkolzin Hoglander Silovs D Petey Tier 2: Lekkerimaki Hirose Kudryavtsev Brzustewicz Forsell Tier 3: Johansson Woo Karlsson Nielsen Bains Klimovich McDonough Jurmo McWard Bloom Tolopilo Tier 4: Truscott Mynio Celebrini Sasson Gardner Koskenvuo Young Gabrielsson Plasek Sawchenko Zlodeyev Unranked/No tier: Vitali Kravtsov, Ty Mueller, Jackson Kunz, Matthew Perkins, Jackson Dorrington, Jack Malone, Matthew Thiessen, Lukas Jasek, Dmitri Zhukenov, Artyum Manukyan, Victor Persson, Vilmer Alfriksson Lots of hidden gems in every tier. Players in Tier 3 however may have the most. It would be cool to see some in that tier steal some roster spots and carve out an NHL career in the coming years.
  6. 2 years ago our defensive depth was: Hunt Rathbone Sautner Bowey Woo Keeper Juulsen Hamonic Myrenberg Jurmo Truscott Dorrington
  7. There is absolutely no way you think Soucy and Burroughs are similar level of players…you have to be joking lol
  8. I have a strong feeling Julien Brisebois was the true maestro all along
  9. That’s the thing though. Detroit has no elite talent, besides maybe Seider. They lack elite talent up front, and don’t exactly have anyone in the pipeline that projects as a top 6 player, besides Kasper but it’s not looking too good. They had a terrible draft. Danielson at 9 when Dvorsky and Benson were available was just awful considering their lack of elite scoring forwards in the pipeline. And then (Thank God) they chose ASP over Moore, Sale and Perrault. Then they selected a bunch of reaches with their subsequent picks (they drafted a projected 3rd and 5th rounder with 2 of their 3 second round picks). They trade Hronek and draft an even smaller defenseman who may or may not be as good as Hronek is right now. As someone who didn’t like the Hronek trade, I feel 100% better now. If I was a Detroit fan, I would be furious. And now they sign all these bloated contracts to guys that will undoubtedly ruin their chances at a higher draft pick. In the 7 years or so of their rebuild, they’ve managed to only get Seider, Raymond (a top pick that’s more of a complimentary piece than a star player), Edvinsson, and another secondary piece in Kasper? Detroit has always had gems in the later rounds so if there’s some sort of saving grace for them, it could be one of those later round picks. But to hope that one of them becomes a star is like trying to win the 649 lotto.
  10. I’d rather trade Klimovich than Hoglander tbh. I think Hoglander will break out very soon if given the opportunity. Perhaps Klimovich or Kudryavtsev.
  11. Wonder if we could make a trade with Foronto and perhaps send Garland there. They lost like 30% of their roster and need some middle 6 NHL guys. Something around Garland for William Villeneuve and Fraser Minten. 21 y/o 6’2 RHD with some pretty solid AHL numbers, and a local centre kid taken in the 2nd round of last year.
  12. Would love for us to go after Andrew Peeke. Klimovich, 2024 3rd, 2026 2nd for Peeke?
  13. Bjugstad, Comtois, Fischer, Sundqvist, Suter all available. My money is on a Bjugstad or Sundqvist signing.
  14. This guy is the Skip Bayless of hockey. Nothing much of value comes out of his mouth.
  15. I hope he finds a place somewhere. I just don’t think he fits with our mantra of having defenseman that can skate and move the puck on the transition. With Juulsen, Woo, Hirose, Brisebois in the fold, I can’t see Cal being a fit here.
