Overall I feel CDC is run pretty tight with some flex here and there, but there has been this superfluous thread feel to it of late.

It's an ebb and flow with new members sure, and I know it's a public forum for us all to voice our individual opinions, but let's not reduce ourselves to redundancy. That only serves to remove people from the same conversation they were having in a different thread. No cohesion.

I think it would be nice to have things run in the same way HF does it, where the most important current NHL events rise to the top of the main page so the playoffs forums make an appearance when the playoffs arise, the International hockey forums takes over the top spot when the world juniors and olympics rolls around.

Like you suggested, just have a Canucks Trade Rumours etc. forum pop up at the top when the trade deadline approaches or in the offseason.

The rate at which news trickles out might make it hard to find rumours on the one exact player you're searching for, but at minimum there could be 1 per player that news is associated, and not 1 per team interested in said player.

Anyways, that's my rant. I've said my piece and will be done with it.
