^ yup, totally agree.

Ugh was totally pulling for Li Na in this one, especially after the crap Vika pulled in the semi final. The crowd was pro-Li Na too. They really were backing her. And she played fantastic. If she can keep it up she'll be a legit threat up there at the top again.

I was cheering for Li Na to, it was a shame she rolled her ankle.

The joker is 2 sets to 1 up and has a 2 breaks in the fourth.

There was no break of serve until the third set .

Murray let a feather , and the crowd get to him in the second set tiebreaker, and he went downhill after that.

What a match! Djokovic is just a pleasure to watch. His work ethic and desire are second to no one. I wonder if Rafa will ever reach the level he was at last year where he took Novak all the way to 6 hours of play. If not, the pecking order of Djokovic, Murray, Federer looks to give Novak a decided advantage. Rafa has always been Novak's greatest challenge

Congrats Novak on making history!

Great win by Dancevic! Wow!!!

I've never watched him play before but his one-handed backhand was dynamite. Great aggressiveness the entire match. Big statement win from him

Not so much for Raonic. Yeah he won but he didn't play well at all. I'm going to make a bold statement here: Milos Raonic, minus his serve, is not a #15 ranked player. His serve gets him out of trouble...a lot...but the rest of his game is severely lacking. The unforced errors on the forehand side and at the net were just ridiculous today. He has a lot of work to do.

But glad he got the job done. Not surrendering a single break point is pretty impressive. Going 2/17 on his break chances is a little less impressive.

Big 2-0 lead for Canada. Crowd seemed really into it!

^ yeah bet no other opponent will make that mistake. Canada isn't a pushover anymore and it's not just Raonic. We present a threat with Dancevic and in the future with Jesse Levine also.

Huge moment for Canada though. Great to see us emerge as a tennis nation. Raonic played well today and it was a fun weekend for all the players I'm sure. The next Davis Cup round (vs. Italy) might also be here in Van which would be exciting!

Rafael Nadal won the Brazil Open Sunday, his first title since returning from a seven-month layoff:

SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Rafael Nadal beat David Nalbandian 6-2, 6-3 in the final of the Brazil Open on Sunday, winning his first title since returning from a seven-month layoff to treat his left knee.

Nadal thrust his arms into the air and pumped his fist after Nalbandian sent a shot long to give the Spaniard his second title at the indoor clay-court tournament. The Spaniard also won the event in 2005.

It was Nadal's 51st singles title, and first since winning the French Open for the seventh time last June.

Nadal struggled to find a rhythm in the beginning but was still able to break Nalbandian's serve twice to take the first set, then rallied from 3-0 down in the second to win six straight games and close out and match in 1 hour, 18 minutes at the Ibirapuera arena.

Seeking his 12th title, the 93rd-ranked Nalbandian was playing in a final for the first time since he was disqualified for kicking an advertisement board and injuring a line judge at Queen's Club last June. The former world No. 3 hasn't won a title since 2010 in Washington.

Nadal, who was coming off two three-set matches, still looked far from his best and didn't seem to be moving well. The knee appeared to be bothering him again and he left many balls unchallenged throughout the match.

But with the support from the local fans and with former Brazil star striker Ronaldo and mixed martial arts champion Anderson Silva in the crowd, Nadal took control of the match in the second set to secure the victory.

The 26-year-old Nadal, currently ranked fifth, returned to action at the VTR Open in Chile last week, losing the singles and doubles finals.

The final in Brazil was only his eighth singles match since his return. He withdrew from the doubles in Sao Paulo after winning the first match with Nalbandian as his partner. Nadal said he wanted to rest his knee for the singles tournament.

The 11-time Grand Slam champion admitted that the level of the competition in Brazil was not as high as in other tournaments but said that it wasn't bad either, giving him the perfect opportunity to give his knee a good test. The Spaniard will play another clay-court tournament in Mexico in two weeks.

Nadal had won four of his six career matches against Nalbandian, the last one a three-set victory in the quarterfinals of Indian Wells last year. Nalbandian's last victory over Nadal was in 2007 in the final of a Master Series tournament in Paris.

The 31-year-old Argentine made his season debut in singles at the Brazil Open. He was out of action for several months last season because of an abdominal injury.

Rafa beat Federer 6-4 6-2 in Indian Wells QF's today

Fed was broken 3 times in the 2nd set. Wasn't moving very well at all. Looks like he tweaked his back. Hope the sun isn't setting on him just yet. The tour won't be the same without Fed, just as it wasn't the same when Rafa was out.
